With blessed hearts, we are thrilled to share the news that our Rector, Christopher Klukas, has been elected as the first Bishop Coadjutor of the Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes (ACNA)!

As a parish, we have been deeply formed by Fr. Chris’ leadership, and we rejoice that his gifts will now serve the broader Church.

Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes Elects Christopher Klukas as Bishop Coadjutor

The Standing Committee of the Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes is pleased to announce the selection of The Very Reverend Christopher Klukas as the first Bishop Coadjutor-elect. After a year-long process of prayer and discernment, the Lord has led us to a new bishop.

The ADGL held a Meeting of the Synod on Saturday, October 17, for the purpose of selecting a bishop coadjutor. There were two candidates in the final selection process: The Very Reverend Christopher Klukas and The Right Reverend Allen Kannapell. There was a majority obtained in both houses (Clergy and Laity) for The Very Reverend Christopher Klukas.

Of his twenty years of ordained ministry, The Very Rev. Christopher has served fourteen years as a rector in three different dioceses. He currently serves as Rector of St. Andrew's Anglican Church in Lewis Center, Ohio, Dean of the Central and Southern Ohio Deanery in the Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes, and is the current Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes.

The Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes is made up of 40 churches in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky as well as congregations in New York and Virginia.

Please join us in congratulating The Very Reverend Christopher Klukas, his wife, The Reverend Canon Carrie Klukas, and continue to pray for them as we await consent to his election from the College of Bishops in January 2027.
