St. Andrew's Anglican Church

St. Andrew's Anglican Church “Jesus said, 'come and see.' … One of the two who followed Jesus was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. St. At St.

Andrew's Anglican Church is a warm and friendly congregation located in Lewis Center, OH. We are an Anglican Church which means that we are Evangelical, Catholic, and Spirit-filled. We believe that the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments contain all things necessary for salvation. We also stand with Christians around the world in affirming the three traditional creeds: The Nicene Creed, the A

postles Creed, and the Athanasian Creed. WORSHIP SERVICES:
In all of our weekend services we follow the Book of Common Prayer (2019) liturgy for Holy Communion, beginning with readings from the Scriptures and a sermon, then prayers, and finally communion.
5pm Saturday – A quieter traditional service with a few hymns led on the organ or piano.
9am Sunday – Traditional service with hymns, led by organ or piano with occasional choir or handbells with children’s ministry during the sermon.
11am Sunday – Traditional service with praise songs and hymns led by our worship band. OUR MISSION:
Grow and Go
To grow as disciples of Jesus Christ and go as his ambassadors, inviting all to be reconciled to God and find their rest in him (2 Corinthians 5:20, Matthew 28:18–20). OUR VALUES:
The Anglican Way
The Anglican Way is a unique and balanced blend of three elements: Evangelical, Catholic, and Spirit-filled. Andrew’s we look to our Anglican heritage as our guide for doctrine, discipline, and worship, and we rejoice in our relationships with other Anglicans throughout our diocese, province, and the world. Lively Faith
Through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit we are growing and maturing in the knowledge, grace, and love of Jesus Christ and his Cross (Ephesians 4:13-15). We live in joyful expectation that God continues to work in our lives, and that he will minister to others through us, as he has done in ages past. Welcoming Community
We cultivate deep relationships with one another for fellowship, encouragement, support, accountability, and mission (Proverbs 27:17, 1 Corinthians 12). As ambassadors for Christ we welcome new people into our congregation and help them find their place among us (2 Corinthians 5:20). Abundant Generosity
We steward the people and financial resources of our congregation wisely and utilize them generously for the building up of God’s kingdom (Psalm 50:10-12, 2 Corinthians 9:7). We are generous because we are made in the image of our generous God from whom all blessings flow (2 Corinthians 9:10–11)

[ And Jesus said to them,] “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Today (and everyday), we remember and thank our brave service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation's freedoms.

For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.
~I Corinthians 12:12-13 ESV

[Jesus] lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said… “All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them. And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one.”

CONSTRUCTION COMING SOON!
On May 3, we were blessed to have Bishop Mark Engel break ground for our upcoming expansion project that will create a more welcoming place for our parish and community.
"Accept and bless the work which we have now begun, that it may be brought to completion, to the honor and glory of your holy Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen"

For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God's will, than for doing evil. For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.

~1 Peter 3:17-18 ESV

ONE SERVICE, SUNDAY, MAY 3 at 10AM!

We will hold a combined Holy Eucharist service on Sunday, May 3, at 10am, as Bishop Mark Engel encourages us through his preaching and conducts the Sacrament of Confirmation, Reception, and Reaffirmation with the Laying on of Hands for those candidates who have completed the appropriate spiritual direction, and officiates over the Ground Breaking for our addition. A short reception in the gathering space will follow the service.
(There will still be a regular service on Saturday, May 2 at 5PM.)
