Faith in Action 2026! ❤️🙌

What. A. Day.

We set a goal of collecting 6,000 pounds of food for the Wilson Weight Challenge. You all showed up with 6,068 pounds! 🎉 Before it headed out the doors, we filled our sanctuary with that incredible mountain of food and prayed over it, asking God to bless it and the neighbors who will receive it through People In Need.

Then, we got to work!

Our church family headed out to 10 different locations across Delaware County, serving our neighbors and putting our faith into action. And God even gave us some absolutely beautiful weather to be outside being the hands and feet of Jesus.

Pastor Jessica started our morning with an inspiring message about leadership and what it looks like to live that out in our everyday lives. Then, we had the opportunity to go DO it.

These pictures are just a massive photo dump from folks serving all over the county today. I love seeing all the different faces, places, projects, and ways our church showed up to Love God. Love Others. Share Your Faith.

Church is pretty awesome when we get outside the building. ❤️

Grateful for our partnership with People In Need, Inc. and another successful Wilson Weight Challenge food drive! ❤️ Our generous congregation collected 6,089 pounds of donations that we pray will be a blessing to our neighbors here in Delaware County. 🛒

Don’t forget to shop for the Wilson Weight Challenge! 🛒❤️

Our annual food drive is in memory of Roy & Sarah Wilson who were long-time LCUMC members and huge supporters of People In Need, Inc. They inspired our congregation to “share what they could spare” for many years.

⚖️ The Missions Team has set a goal for the congregation to donate 6,000 pounds of food! We hope you will help us exceed this goal to spread God's love by helping our neighbors in need and honoring the legacy of giving that the Wilsons left behind.
