Emilie UMC seeks to follow biblical principles in interactions with others,, including fans of the page. Matthew 18:20: For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them. Hebrews 10:25: Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Psalm 133:1-3: How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron's beard, down upon the collar of his robes. Acts 2:42: They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, the breaking of bread, and of prayer. Titus 3:9-10: But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and uselesss. Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. Removing Posts

Love Is The Foundation

Love is not easy.

But love is essential.

Pastor Stacey reminded us that harmony, peace, justice, reconciliation, and healing all begin with love. Not a shallow love, but a deep, intentional love that seeks the good of others—even when it’s difficult.

Every day we are tempted to respond with anger, impatience, or bitterness. Yet through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are equipped to choose another way.

A way of kindness.
A way of forgiveness.
A way of grace.

The Beloved Community is built when ordinary people make extraordinary choices to love.

How is God inviting you to love more deeply this week?

Love is more than a feeling—it is a way of living. May today’s scripture inspire us to reflect God’s love in all we do. ...

This Sunday at Emilie UMC

Father’s Day brings with it many emotions—gratitude, joy, memories, longing, and love.

This Sunday, we’ll reflect on “A Father’s Love” through a powerful encounter in Luke 7:11-14. In just a few verses, we witness a moment that changes everything.

Join us as we worship, pray, and discover what this story might have to say to us today.

The Choice We Make Every Day

The Beloved Community doesn’t happen by accident.

It is built through intentional choices—day after day, moment after moment.

Pastor Stacey reminded us that following Jesus means choosing a counter-cultural way of living. In a world that often encourages division, resentment, and self-interest, disciples are called to choose love, kindness, forgiveness, patience, justice, and peace.

The question isn’t whether we want a better community.

The question is: Are we willing to live as disciples and do the work of building it?

Today, may we begin in our homes, our workplaces, our neighborhoods, and our relationships by making one intentional choice to love as Christ loves.

“What will you do to live in the Beloved Community today?”

Love is at the heart of the Beloved Community. Today, we reflect on how God’s love calls us to love one another. ❤️
