Emilie UMC is a place for people of all backgrounds to join together to worship God and grow in their faith. Emilie believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to grow in Christ and build community in a safe and respectful environment. To support this goal, a series of guidelines, biblical principles, and policies were created for this page with the interests of our community in mind.
Please read the statements below to assist in keeping this a space that honors God. Emilie UMC has created this page to:
* Communicate directly with the Emilie community about services, announcements, and events.
* Encourage people in their spiritual journey through Scripture and challenging questions.
* Foster community, encouragement, prayer, and interaction among fans. The page is not meant to be a substitute for regular church community. Biblical Principles
Emilie UMC seeks to follow biblical principles in interactions with others,, including fans of the page. Matthew 18:20: For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them. Hebrews 10:25: Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Psalm 133:1-3: How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron's beard, down upon the collar of his robes. Acts 2:42: They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, the breaking of bread, and of prayer. Titus 3:9-10: But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and uselesss. Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. Removing Posts
