2 Corinthians 5:8 states: "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."

“His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” Matthew 25:21.

Though our hearts sorrow at this passing, of a faithful steward who served the church, locally, state and national offices with dedication and compassion. We are comforted in the Word of God, “For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” — 2 Corinthians 5:1.

Our prayers are with the family, church family and everyone who is connected to this loss.

- Bishop Phyllis J. Mims, State Prelate
- Tr. Bishop Andrew Williams, Pastor

Join us as we celebrate...

Today, we honor her heart, her strength, her kindness, her love... and the light she brings everywhere she goes. This birthday isn’t just another year; it’s a reminder of how much she means to all of us and how grateful we are for her life. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BISHOP!

On this Resurrection morning, we pause to remember the strength of our Savior, the strength that carried the cross, endured the suffering, and secured our redemption. We honor the sacrifice that opened the way for our healing, our hope, and our reconciliation with God.

Yet we also stand in the victory of this moment. The empty tomb declares what no darkness can overturn: “He is not here, for He is risen” (Matthew 28:6). Because Christ lives, we face every challenge with courage, every trial with assurance, and every tomorrow with renewed strength.

May the power of His resurrection settle in your hearts, your homes, and your ministries. May this holy day remind us that sacrifice was not the end, victory was. - Bishop Phyllis J. Mims, State Bishop

As we enter this sacred Palm Sunday, may our hearts echo the cry of the crowd in Jerusalem: “Hosanna to the Son of David; blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord” (Matthew 21:9).

May the Lord Jesus, who came in humility yet carried all authority, ride into every home, every concern, and every longing with His peace, His strength, and His unfailing victory.

I am praying that this Holy Week renews your hope, deepens your gratitude, and reminds you that our King is near, attentive, and faithful. - Bishop Phyllis J. Mims.

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8.
