⚠️Here’s some important information in terms of snow removal:⚠️

•Don’t wait until Monday morning to remove snow/sleet.
•First round of shoveling should occur around noon-1pm.
•Second round of shoveling should be around 4/5pm.
•Sleet will likely be infiltrating the area around dinner time. (Possibly earlier).
•You don’t want all that snow, sleet, potential freezing rain/Ice to sit all night and maybe a little bit more snow Monday morning on top of that and then try and remove Monday. It will be a massive block of Ice! 🧊

Obviously as the storm gets going, we will be tracking that sleet line and let you know when it’s arriving. We are sticking with our forecast from Thursday night for now. However… trends are a bit warmer, so it’s possible that, that over a foot number may be an issue. However… We proud that we have been able to hold onto our forecast for so long, especially being one of the only outlets with having a number as low as 6” with this storm due to the threat of sleet. Many have changed their forecast multiple times.

We will be live tonight around 8pm at BWW to discuss the latest! Dangerous, dynamic and nasty storm coming tomorrow. This is sponsored by The Law Office of Jeena R. Belil, PC

Here are some safety-related tips from your Long Island Personal Injury Lawyer:
After a snow storm, be sure to get ALL of the snow off of your car. If you leave snow on your roof, it could come off while you are driving and impair the visibility of the driver behind you, which could lead to an accident.
Make sure your tires are in good shape and have the correct air pressure.
Keep adequate distance between you and the car in front of you to avoid crashes from skidding on icy roads.
Don't be on the roads if you don't have to.
Stay safe out there!

Our concert tonight (The Babylon Chorale) was magnificent!

So delighted to see our church folk in attendance—I think we might have set a record for ourselves!

Maria, Joan, Ruth, Ralph, Arlene, Stella, Kara, Lynn, Lee, Janice, Marilyn and Carole! Alice on keys and Rick as tenor, myself singing my beloved alto 2 part. Can’t wait to sing with Arlene again!

We sang a lessons and carols concert with 9 local clergy and faith leaders each performance (18 of us in all!) to read scripture. The music was a mixture of traditional and contemporary holiday songs. Some Latin and Hebrew and Wendat.

Our March concert will be a mixture of pop music and classical. The June concert will be Sing Democracy 250, link in the comments. The June concert will be a collaboration with the Evoco Voice Collective and an orchestra and will focus on music to celebrate our nation’s 250th year.

Thanks to all of you who support me in making music by coming to the concerts, donating to the chorale, and encouraging me to sing again. Special thanks to Arlene who introduced me to the chorale and made me welcome!

The chorale is not official church business, but as i said this morning in my sermon, there is something about it that brings together my personal, professional, and spiritual life that moves me toward wholeness, and I’m very grateful for the peace that brings me.

Love and joy to all of you this season!
