Great family night tonight eating together and just being family! A great example of how many ways satan is attacking us and trying to steal kill and destroy our relationship with Jesus…I’m super happy He came to give us life more abundantly and He stands by that promise.
We have to remember Jesus PROMISED us that there will be many trials and many sorrows in this life here on earth. But how awesome is He that He also promised that He is preparing a place for us with Him.

We are all at different levels in our faith and our relationship with Him, we need each other to get through the peaks and valleys.

I love our CR family! Thank you so much for each person and what they bring to the group!

Tonight there was very few people at the meeting…BUT GOD….we have been ministering to a girl in Hockley County Jail who has made TREMENDOUS progress in her relationship with Jesus and we learned Tuesday night that she might be released at the end of May. We get alot of promises from the inmates that they will come to our outside groups but life happens and they don’t show up. Hailey was released on yesterday and she walked all the way across town tonight to be with us and it made my heart so happy. What really made me happy was the few members of our CR family that attended tonight welcomed her with open arms and exchanged phone numbers and she went from having no family in Levelland to lots of family in Levelland. Psalms 68:6 says “God places the lonely in families and He sets the prisoners free and gives them joy”….when you get to see that unfold in real time it really builds your faith in His Word!
Thank You Jesus for Your Living Word! Thank you CR family for living out that Word. Hailey got to come hang out with me and Hope and I dropped her off at her room and afterwards and she was all smiles 😊
She had three different versions of the Bible and her Celebrate Recovery homework for the week in her arms and her new participant guide! AND she gets to bake bread with Roslyn tomorrow and stay busy! Be praying for Hailey these next few weeks until we get everything figured out for her. Thank you Jason and Kasey Turner for your hearts and very strong beliefs in CHANGE! Thank you Sheriff Chris Wischkaemper for your prayers and support of our inmates after release. Now we’re making some change!

But!!! One of the most special things that happened tonight was Lilly received a well earned chip for accomplishing a great goal! Super proud of her and super proud of her whole family for turning their generational curses into generational blessings!!!!

Last week I asked 2 members of our family to share about some of their inventories…the reason I asked 2 is because I felt like the first one would be very short. This girl has been coming for months but she is super shy and very quiet. She talked the whole hour, and some, and I’m very very proud of her! Our CR family had some great input for her and next week we will have more but I’m very excited about how we came together tonight and spoke into her life after really listening to her. I’m excited about next week and I’m excited to for Tammi to go next. This moral inventory is going very good and it’s super healthy for us all. I love our family so very much!

Tonight we spent some time in Lesson 9 “inventory”….we may be there for a few weeks. Thank you Jason Turner and Deanna Sheets for the worksheets on Inventory. As many times as I’ve worked the steps I’ve never even paid attention to the positive side of doing my inventory. That’s what God is all about, healing our trauma, and us finding the good in what we went through (because of the human abuse of free will) and showing us that ONLY HE can bring something beautiful and life changing from someone else’s pain and anger poured into our lives. Thank You Jesus for transforming beautiful things out of traumatic experiences! Thank You for life! Thank You for healthy hearts and minds! Thank for our CR Family!

Tonight at CR the leaders showed up with very little planned and it started off a little bit awkward….but God…He showed up with a pretty cool very emotional and very real and raw deep plan. Tonight was for just one family member who is going through hell and she just needed her family to speak to her and God gave us that opportunity. She is at the point of just giving up and going back to the past. She had even decided not to come tonight and that is exactly what satan wanted because he can really speak to her in isolation like he always does when he gets us alone…remember he even had the audacity to get Jesus alone so he could question the Word of God WITH the Word of God when he had the Word of God in isolation. Isolation is a dangerous place to be and we have to thrive in our Jesus communities and heal together. Sometimes the Bible is hard to understand, sometimes God is hard to understand, but He always shows up in our confusion if we invite Him in. It’s ok to cry out to Him in our frustration and anger and anxiety and especially our disbelief. Our ministry to those around us is best when we are experiencing our worst moments.

All examples that God will EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY show up and change our lives not just for us but for HIS NAMESAKE!

Sometimes you just have to show up and let Him do what He does best.
