"It has literally saved my life."

Those are Matthew’s words after receiving Bible teachings through Freedom in Jesus Ministries.

Not long ago, he wrote that he had "an awful, sinful, evil background" that had been haunting him. Then something changed. Matthew shared that he had found and accepted Jesus and was devoting himself to learning all he could about his new faith.

As he continued reading and studying, he described what happened next: "those feelings of regret, fears, insecurities, and all other struggles I wrestled with, have left as if they never existed."

His letter wasn't a request. It was simply a thank-you note.

For Matthew, a few Bible teachings and a caring response arrived at exactly the right time.

The encouraging letter didn't find Matthew by accident. It got there because someone gave. If you'd like to help place hope into the hands of another incarcerated man or woman at the right moment, a gift to Freedom in Jesus Ministries makes that possible: https://fijm.org/donate

The moment grace becomes real is the moment your past finally loses its grip.

"If the blood of Jesus was good enough for God the Father to forgive me, isn’t it good enough for me to forgive myself?"

Some prisons have steel doors and razor wire.

Others exist entirely in the mind.

Many people know what it's like to replay old failures, old regrets, and old decisions. The heart revisits moments that can never be changed, while shame quietly argues that the story is already finished.

But then something unexpected happens.

The past doesn't disappear.

The memories don't suddenly fade.

Yet God's mercy begins speaking louder than yesterday's mistakes.

At Freedom in Jesus Prison Ministries, stories like this unfold every day. Men and women who once believed their future was defined by their worst moment begin discovering something different. A little hope returns. A burden becomes lighter. A heart begins to believe that God's grace is bigger than the labels, the failures, and the shame.

Sometimes freedom begins long before a prison gate opens.

Sometimes it begins the moment a person realizes that if God has forgiven them, they no longer have to live as though they haven't.

That is the quiet miracle of grace—and it is changing lives every day.

CLAIM YOUR DATE. DON'T LET PRISON CLAIM YOUR FUTURE.

For many incarcerated men and women, a release date feels like a distant dream.

But freedom begins long before a prison gate opens.

In this powerful clip, we're reminded that faith gives us something to hold onto even in the hardest seasons. When we trust God with our future, we can live with hope today instead of fear tomorrow.

No matter what your circumstances look like, God is still writing your story. His plans are bigger than your past, and His grace is greater than your mistakes.

Please pray for the men and women behind bars who are learning to place their future in God's hands.

"God's Grace Is Greater Than Any Diagnosis."

💙 WORLD MS DAY 💙

Today, we pause to recognize and pray for those living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and other chronic illnesses that affect daily life in ways many people never see.

Some battles are visible. Others are carried quietly behind a smile.

At Freedom in Jesus Prison Ministries, we regularly hear from men and women facing not only incarceration, but also physical challenges, chronic pain, disabilities, and serious health conditions. These struggles can leave people feeling isolated, discouraged, and forgotten.

But God's love reaches beyond every diagnosis, prison wall, and difficult circumstance.

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." — 2 Corinthians 12:9

Today, let's take a moment to encourage one another.

💙 Do you know someone living with MS or another chronic illness?

💙 Leave an encouraging word, prayer, or Scripture verse in the comments.

Together, let's remind those who are struggling that they are seen, loved, and never forgotten by God.

Please join us in praying for strength, comfort, healing, and hope for all those affected by MS and other ongoing health challenges.

🍔 "A Great Burger Satisfies for a Moment. Jesus Satisfies Forever." 🍔
HAPPY NATIONAL HAMBURGER DAY!

Everyone loves a good burger, but today we're also reminded of something even more satisfying—the hope, grace, and transformation found in Jesus Christ.

Every week through Freedom in Jesus Prison Ministries, lives are being changed as men and women behind prison walls discover that their past does not define their future. Just as a great meal can bring people together, the Gospel brings people from all walks of life to the same table of grace.

Jesus said:

"I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty." — John 6:35

While many incarcerated men and women are physically separated from their families, your prayers and support help deliver spiritual nourishment, encouragement, discipleship, and hope to those who need it most.

Now let's have some fun!

3 PRISONS. 4 DAYS. COUNTLESS LIVES THAT NEED JESUS.

THIS WEEKEND — PLEASE PRAY FOR GATESVILLE, TEXAS

From May 28–31, Freedom in Jesus Prison Ministries will be taking the Gospel inside three prison units in Gatesville, TX during a powerful Weekend Gospel Crusade:

• Hughes Unit (Men’s Unit)
• Woodman Unit (Women’s Unit)
• Murray Unit (Women’s Unit)

Behind these prison walls are men and women carrying deep pain, shame, addiction, brokenness, and hopelessness… but Jesus still changes lives.

This weekend, volunteers will walk into these units with one mission:
To share the hope, freedom, forgiveness, and transforming power of Jesus Christ.

Would you stop right now and pray with us for:

• Salvations and renewed faith
• Hearts softened by the Holy Spirit
• Healing from addiction, trauma, and brokenness
• Protection and strength for every volunteer and ministry team
• Men and women to encounter the love of Jesus in a life-changing way

No one is beyond the reach of God’s grace.

Thank you for praying for every inmate, every volunteer, and every moment of ministry this weekend.

For 30 years, D.B. said he had been “living a life of drugs and crime.” But during a Freedom in Jesus Ministries crusade at the Formby Unit, something shifted.

“I re-surrendered and re-dedicated my life and future to Jesus Christ!”

He shared that he was deeply impacted by the messages brought into the prison that weekend and watched other inmates being touched too. After years of addiction and destructive choices, D.B. began asking for “advice and guidelines to keep making ‘positive steps’ in a life for the Lord.”

That’s why these crusades matter.

A weekend inside a prison may seem small from the outside, but for someone like D.B., it became a turning point toward a different future.

The crusade that D.B. attended didn't happen by accident. He got there because someone gave. If you'd like to help place hope into the hands of another incarcerated man or woman at the right moment, a gift to Freedom in Jesus Ministries makes that possible: https://fijm.org/donate/

SOME OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THINGS GOD BUILDS START IN BROKEN PLACES.

“My present position is not an indication of my future potential in God!” — Stephen E. Canup

There’s something sacred about watching hope come back into someone’s eyes.

Not loud.
Not dramatic.
Just quiet little signs that a person has started believing again.

A handwritten prayer folded inside a Bible.
A father learning how to talk to his children again through letters.
A man sitting in a prison chapel realizing his story may not be over after all.

Sometimes transformation doesn’t look explosive at first.
Sometimes it just looks like someone deciding not to give up today.

And honestly, most of us know that feeling in one way or another.

Life has a way of leaving people sitting in places they never imagined they’d be. A bad decision. A shattered relationship. A season of failure. A hidden addiction. A lonely night wondering how everything drifted so far off course.

Yet God keeps meeting people there.

Not at the finish line.
Not once they’ve cleaned everything up.
Right there in the middle of the rubble.

That’s part of what makes the work of prison ministry so powerful to witness. It reminds all of us that Heaven has never been intimidated by broken beginnings.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never free.

At Freedom in Jesus Prison Ministries, Memorial Day also reminds us of another powerful truth: no life is beyond redemption, and no person is forgotten by God — whether standing in freedom or sitting behind prison walls.

Many incarcerated men and women carry deep regret, brokenness, and memories of battles both seen and unseen. Through the hope of Jesus Christ, we’ve witnessed lives restored, families reconciled, and hearts transformed.

Today we honor those who sacrificed for our nation…
And we thank God for the Savior who sacrificed everything for our souls.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

As we remember the fallen today, may we also remember to pray for:
🔘 Our military families
🔘 Those struggling with trauma and addiction
🔘 Men and women behind bars searching for hope
🔘 And the transforming power of Jesus Christ
