Some stories are so familiar that we stop hearing them.

Noah and the flood is one of them.

But this Sunday, we want to rediscover this story—not just as a children’s tale with animals and an ark, but as a story about the seriousness of sin, the faithfulness of God, and the grace that makes a way forward.

If you’ve ever wondered what this story still has to say to us today, we’d love to explore it with you.

Join us this Sunday at 10:30 AM

Genesis 8: When God Remembers

After the storm… silence.

The waiting.
The uncertainty.
The long days of wondering what comes next.

Then Genesis 8 begins with these simple but powerful words:

“But God remembered Noah…” (Genesis 8:1)

Not because God had forgotten—but because His faithfulness was about to move into action.

The waters began to recede.
Dry ground slowly appeared.
A dove returned with signs of hope.

Genesis 8 reminds us that waiting seasons are not wasted seasons.

Sometimes God is doing His quietest work where we can’t yet see it.

And when the time is right, He makes a way forward.

If you’re in a season of waiting, hold on to this truth:

God remembers. God is working. New beginnings are possible.

Genesis 7: Trusting the God Who Shuts the Door

Genesis 7 is a difficult chapter.

The rain comes.
The waters rise.
God’s judgment is real.

But tucked into the middle of the story is a powerful phrase:

“Then the Lord shut him in.” (Genesis 7:16)

Noah obeyed. He stepped into the ark. But ultimately, it was God who secured the door.

What a picture of trust.

Sometimes obedience means stepping into places that feel uncertain, trusting that God’s protection is greater than what we can see.

Genesis 7 reminds us that even in the storm, God is not absent.

He is both just and merciful.
He warns. He provides. He makes a way.

And when we entrust ourselves to Him, we discover that even the hardest storms are not beyond His care.
