Last Sunday we were reminded how great our salvation truly is, and that God did not save us just to escape judgment, but to become lights shining in a dark world.
We were challenged to “work out” what God has already “worked in” us through His grace, putting off the old life and putting on Christ through obedience, kindness, forgiveness, and a renewed mind.
We also reflected on the call to walk as children of light in a crooked generation, choosing daily to follow Christ even when it is difficult. We were reminded that Jesus not only forgave us, but calls us into a life of transformation through the power of the Holy Spirit.
May this week be a time of refreshing as we walk closely with God and shine clearly before others!
“….so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.” Colossians 1:10-12
This coming Wednesday service we look forward to seeing you at 7:00 PM. We will begin in Galatians 5:22, as we discuss the subject of the “Fruit of the Spirit.”
Blessings!
