Sunday, we learned the importance of hearing God’s voice. The Bible is filled with examples of those who heard the voice of God, either audibly or as a still, small voice within them.

Anyone who is born again has heard the voice of God, and probably more than they realize. In Job it is written that, “God speaks again and again though people do not recognize it.” Through dreams and visions and whispers, God still speaks to his people!

Learning to hear and know the voice of God is the goal. Hearing His voice in the midst of all the noise around us, all the noise that is constantly in our ears, and learning to know and discern that voice, is one of the most important foundational keys to successful Christian living.

Discerning the voice of the Holy Spirit means we should know the Bible and pay special attention to things such as inner promptings, impressions, dreams, and inner warnings. Doing so will result in great benefits for those who seek to walk as children of the Most High!

"And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, 'This is the way, walk in it,' when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left." Isaiah 30:21

This coming Wednesday we will resume our study of the Fruit of the Holy Spirit.
