Fall Cleanup was a success! Many to thanks to all that attended and gave their time, sweat and energy in the care for Grove Hill Cemetery and the building. Thank you Deneen Clark for picking up and hauling off limbs as well as performing maintenance work on your familys area in the Cemetery. Jane Biggerstaff Thank You for coming and helping with John and Kay Hale and that area of the cemetery. A huge Thank you to Roger McWilliams for attending and answering questions for all that attended and helping us all to maintain Grove Hill.
More thanks to James and Logan Leslie as they also picked up limbs, fixed a loose gutter and helped in all aspects of the day.
We had pretty good late lunch of Chicken and Dressing but the dessert that Tammy Ritter made and brought was by far the favorite of the day. I can not thank my dear friends Jeff and Tammy Ritter near enough for picking up limbs, Jeff's weedeating, the wonderful spiced Apple Cake and all the donations for prizes for all that came and helped- I and Grove Hill are truly Blessed to have them in my life. Deneen won the deep fryer and Kay took home the insulated food keepers. Daniel Nugent picked up limbs, loaded some in my car and we will burn them in our fire pit at home My wonderful Grandaughter Korlee helped everywhere she wad asked as well as voluntarily cleaned up at end of day. We will be doing our Spring Cleanup in April,(Date to be determined) and will be holding a raffle for many great prizes (up to and including real Jewelry- (and yes I will accept any donations that anyone would want to give for the raffle) I would like to hold a raffle in June as well.
