It’s black history Month! Did you know Black eyed peas dropped on trails or near the river’s edge were a warning sign that it was not safe to move about. The peas indicated that patrollers, slave traders and others looking for runaways were in the vicinity and that there were ‘too many eyes watching’ or ‘too many people looking for runaways. The history of black eye peas is one of the evidences to help trace the origins of African Americans, from the enslaved Bantu people who brought with them this beans from Africa to the Americas.

Did you also know that black eye peas; an African American dish, has its origins in central Africa? Yes, these peas are called Kunde in the region of Congo, Kenya, Tanzania and among many others, farmed by predominantly Bantu farmers Kunde or black eye peas is a traditional Bantu dish, people in these regions may eat both the tree leaves as well as the peas. The Bantu awakening is the Israelite awakening worldwide, don’t wake up and go back to sleep by joining judaism, the bible is a duplicate of your Bantu culture, start there. Johnathan Lacy has made history as Nevada's first Black owner of a 7-Eleven store located at Pecos Road and Tropicana Avenue. Despite challenges such as being denied loans, Lacy saved every dollar he earned, relying on family support and his determination to achieve his dream. Now, he aims to inspire others, encouraging African Americans, women, and minorities to pursue entrepreneurship. Lacy is already planning to expand with three to four more stores in Las Vegas.
