Good morning friends of Tucker Cemetery! I’ll get right to the point in this post - the road entrance to all the cemeteries needs repaired! If you’ve visited anytime recently you’ll know how bad it is, most vehicles drag and it’s only getting worse. I was asked by a family to check on getting it fixed and was given a gift of $400 in memory of their loved one to start the process. RJW Construction has quoted the job which will be to install a new culvert and finish with crush and run gravel for $1,200, so we are need of $800 to get the job done. Any donations will be put right to the project and will be appreciated so we can get the repairs done before winter. Please send any donations to Sheila Parsons, 11 Nina Street Buffalo, WV 25033. If you have any questions just let me know, Randy Parsons, thank you!

Hello friends of Tucker Cemetery! All the best wishes to you on this upcoming Memorial Day Weekend! I know many of you will be visiting Tucker Cemetery this weekend, and I'm glad to say that our Groundskeeper has done an outstanding job getting it mowed, trimmed and looking outstanding for the season! Let me say that we are VERY BLESSED to have the same gentleman, Nick Absten and his family who do this work each year, it is so appreciated! I would also like to extend a special thanks to everyone who has given in the past, and several who have already given this year, to help cover mowing costs. I would also encourage everyone with an interest in this cemetery to make a yearly donation to help offset the expenses. Each mowing and trimming is $125, so with everyone pitching in, we can meet the need and keep everything looking great! Please send donations payable to Sheila Parsons, 11 Nina Street, Buffalo, WV 25033, check memo “Tucker Cemetery”. Thank you!

Hello friends of Tucker Cemetery! The start of spring also means the start of mowing season, and the grass is already growing fast! I’ve spoken with our Groundskeeper and he is ready to continue doing his great work in keeping the the cemetery mowed and maintained. With inflation and the rising cost of gasoline, he will receive a modest increase in pay from $100 to $125. I would like to extend a special thanks to everyone who has given in the past to help cover mowing costs. I would also encourage everyone with an interest in this cemetery to make a yearly donation to help offset the expenses. Right now we have enough to cover at least the first two mowings, but the season usually averages around 12-14 times, which could mean $1,750 or more in total costs. With everyone pitching in, we can meet the need and keep everything looking great. Please send donations payable to Sheila Parsons, 11 Nina Street, Buffalo, WV 25033, check memo “Tucker Cemetery”. Thank you!

Hello everyone who has an interest in Tucker cemetery, thank you for following this page. Memorial Day is less than two weeks away now, and mowing season has already begun. The cemetery was mowed for the first time last week, the gentleman does a great job. As a reminder, donations are always appreciated to keep up with the mowing. It’s $100 per mowing, so it averages out over 10 mowings a season. Please make checks payable to Sheila Parsons, 11 Nina St, Buffalo, WV 25033, and thanks so much.

Hello everyone, just wanted to share a reminder that I’m sure everybody’s aware of - it’s grass mowing season! And the grass is growing fast with all of this rain! We want to get the cemetery looking nice for Memorial Day and through the summertime, so I’ll be in touch with our custodian to get started as soon as the weather clears up.
As we also know, the cost of keeping the grass mowed does not go down, and looks like this will be a pretty high maintenance year. We’ve already had a donation (thank you!) and I’d like to encourage anyone who has family interred in the cemetery to help with a donation. Please send checks made out to Sheila Parsons, 11 Nina Street, Buffalo, WV 25033, with a memo for Tucker Cemetery. Thank you!
