All women of Our Savior’s and Immanuel Lutheran Churches are invited to a ladies’ brunch at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Leon on Saturday May 2nd at 10:30am. Please bring a dish to share. We look forward to sharing some great springtime fun and fellowship!

Got plans for Holy Thursday or Good Friday? Have a place to worship your resurrected Lord Jesus this Easter Sunday? Join us for any and all of our services - we'd love to have you!

Thursday at 5pm we'll reflect upon Jesus' words from the cross, "It is finished."

Friday at 5pm we'll hear the story of Jesus' suffering and death from John's Gospel and reflect upon Jesus' words, "Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit."

And Sunday at 9:30am we'll rejoice in Christ's victorious resurrection from the dead and the source of eternal hope and joy it is for you and me. +Easter egg hunt for the kids after the service. :)

God is good. Yesterday Our Savior’s Lutheran Church was blessed to present to Rose Saxton at Westview Acres a donation of $368.00 for Christmas gifts to the residents. Thank you to all who contributed, and the Lord bless you all this Christmas!

Looking for a church this Christmas Eve where you can sing great Christmas hymns and hear about the true reason for the season? Join us 7pm December 24th at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. There we will rejoice together in Jesus Christ, the Son of God who was born to die and rise to give us everlasting hope and joy.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

“In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also.” -John 14:2-3

Ron Hinds, member of many years at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Leon, was welcomed home to heaven by his Savior Jesus last Friday. By His death and His resurrection Jesus did in fact go and prepare a place for Ron and now by His grace has brought him there unto Himself in glory! We pray for the comfort and peace of Christ to fill and encourage his family at this time.

Visitation for Ron will be held at Slade-O’Donnell Funeral Home in Leon this Friday December 5 from 4-7pm

Service will be held Saturday December 6 at 10:30am at Our Savior’s, with committal immediately following at Leon Cemetery.

Greetings in Christ,

Don Klinker has been called home to glory and life eternal by the grace of Christ. Alleluia for the hope we have in Jesus:

“If we have died with Christ, we shall also live with Him; if we are faithful to the end, we shall reign with Him.” -2 Timothy 2:11b-12a

The funeral service for Don will be Wednesday December 3 at 11am at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church (709 West First Street Leon, Iowa 50144). The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall 10-11am. A luncheon will be served at the church immediately following the service.
