In November we will be voting on whether to protect life or allow for abortion in MO. The ballot reads that abortion would be legal up to fetal viability. And if the abortionist deems it in the best interest of the mother’s mental, physical or emotional health, abortion can be performed at the 9th month.
Fetal liability is the stage of growth at which a fetus can survive outside the womb. However, fetal viability is not a set in stone date and time. It’s different for every child and can range between the 5 and 6th month of pregnancy.
Fetal viability will become the good faith judgment call of the abortionist. The abortionist gets to decide whether or not the baby can live outside the womb. What kind of decision do you think that abortionist is going to make, especially when he financially benefits from performing the abortion? We can see the handwriting on the wall, babies that could have lived outside the womb, will never get the chance.
A baby at 5 to 6 months gestation smiles and frowns and sucks it thumb and pulls on the umbilical cord and feels pain. His lungs may or may not be developed enough to live outside the womb, if amendment #3 passes, we will never know because this baby will never be given the chance to live.
