Think of something evil that has been done in the name of religion. There are countless examples throughout history and even in the Bible of atrocities committed in the name of God. Is this what God wants? No, He wants us to "hate evil," and the word hate is not one that should be used lightly. Hate evil and love good are constant reminders that can help guide us all in our daily lives.

So much culture has been based on the battle between good and evil. With our busy lives, it is sometimes difficult to even take our minds off of what is happening to us and think about the bigger picture. There is and always has been a holy war going on, a battle between good and evil, and a textbook that explains how to equip ourselves for the battle. Let's take up arms and protect ourselves.

Shining as a light for a crooked nation...how apt these words are even today. As Christians, it is our responsibility to live our lives in a dutiful and loving way, WITHOUT complaint. I am not sure which part is more difficult: living in a way true to God's word or doing so without complaining. By doing so, however, you honor the sacrifices made by Jesus and others before you. Their lives would not be lost in vain, and neither will yours.

The day we choose to worship God is not of life-or-death importance. There are some Christians who believe the official day of worship should be Sunday, while other Christians believe it should be Saturday. What matters to God the most is that we come together as believers to worship Him, regardless of the day. We must also remember that our worship and communing with God should be on a daily basis, not just on one day.

We should wear our faith in Christ on our chests for the world to see. We have no reason to be ashamed of the fact that we have decided to follow Jesus. As Christians, we have realized that there is no other way than the way of Christ. There is no other name more powerful than the name of Jesus. The gospel of Christ comes full of power because it testifies to the victory of Jesus Christ that He won for all mankind.
