Join us this Sunday, June 14, 2026 at 10:30am for
Fellowship and 11:00am for our Service, “UU Views on Life and Afterlife.”

What do UUs believe comes after life as we know it ends? The absence of a single answer may be Unitarian Universalist’s most challenging divergence from “mainstream” theologies. Perhaps the focus is better placed on UU beliefs about life! We cannot explore all possible scientific, theoretical, theology-oriented, or spiritually directed views on the topic, but I wish to share some ideas born out of my own need for reflection and “search for truth and meaning.” I hope to stimulate your further reflection as well.
Please come and be part of the discussion.

Join us this Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 10:30am for Fellowship and 11:00am for our Service, “Loss, Grief, and Growth.”

Loss is a part of life, but that doesn’t make it easy. Our UU views on the importance of this life, how we interpret loss of all kinds, and on impermanence make us take loss seriously and support grief as a community. The question for us is always around transformation -- what kind of person has your experience led you to become? How has that experience provided you with an opportunity to grow, become more compassionate, and appreciate the future?
Please come and be part of the discussion.

Today, let us find beauty and goodness wherever we look. Please come and be part of the discussion. Join us immediately after the Service for our monthly potluck meal, “Commune ‘N Tea.”

Join us this Sunday, May 10, 2026 at 10:30am for
Fellowship and 11:00am for our Service, “Part Two: Ways to Meditate.”
This is part two of a series on ways to meditation. The goal this month will be to find a certain kind of focus for your attention. This is the heart, or center. It is related to what some people call the heart chakra. We will try to see if you can experience it through a variety of different techniques.
Please come and be part of the discussion.

Join us this Sunday, May 3, 2026 at 10:30am for
Fellowship and 11:00am for our Service, “Return with Elixir.”
The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek. This service traces the arc of the Hero's Journey through grief, love, parenthood, and the long work of becoming. We consider what treasures we may have discovered within our own hero’s journey, and how even the smallest of these treasures can restore life where we are.

Join us this Sunday, April 26, 2026 at 10:30am for
Fellowship and 11:00am for our Service, “Healing is a Choice and an Imperative of our Time.”
Heal is an old English word meaning to make whole or sound. In our time, the word has acquired a narrow meaning; it is something done to a person. I propose to you that we are required to reclaim its original meaning and broaden it. We need to shift to an active role in the healing process. What does that mean? Are there models, both old and new, that we can use to understand healing as an effective way to engage our bodies, our communities and our world?
Please come and be part of the discussion.
In lieu of “Commune ‘N Tea” all that would like to attend the Celebration of Life of Bert Huffman immediately after the service will carpool to Point Park, 5960 - 6438 NC-127, Taylorsville NC 28681.

Join us this Sunday, April 19, 2026 at 10:30am for Fellowship and 11:00am for our Service, “Celebrating the Flower Communion.”
The Flower Communion (or Flower Ceremony) is a cherished Unitarian Universalist tradition, usually celebrated in spring, symbolizing community, diversity, and beauty. Participants bring a flower, placing it in a shared vase to create a collective bouquet. Each person then takes a different flower home, representing the sharing of community and the unique contribution of every individual. Please join us as we celebrate our uniqueness.
