"Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain." — Psalm 127:1

What was once a vision is taking shape before our eyes. *Ruth's Refuge* is steadily rising on the Bethel Colony of Mercy Women's Campus, a testimony to God's faithful provision. As our ministry continues to grow, this new staff housing will help provide a home for those called to serve the women God is restoring and transforming.

We thank the Lord for every hand, every gift, and every prayer that has helped bring this project this far. He is faithful to supply every need for His children and for His work.

This morning at Bethel Colony of Mercy, Pastor Pruitt brought a powerful message titled, “Then How Should We Live?”

On this Memorial Day weekend, we reflect on the sacrifices made by the men and women who gave their lives for our country. Places like Arlington National Cemetery stand as a reminder that freedom came at a cost. Every tombstone represents someone who laid down their life so others could live free. The question becomes: how should we live in honor of that sacrifice?

Today also being Pentecost Sunday, we were reminded of an even greater sacrifice and an even greater power. Jesus Christ gave His life on the cross so we could be free from the bo***ge of sin and addiction, and through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are given strength to live transformed lives that honor Him.

Pentecost marks the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the believers in Acts 2 — the power that still changes lives today. Because of the cross, the resurrection, and the gift of the Holy Spirit, we are not called to simply remember sacrifice, but to live differently because of it.

Today’s message challenged us all to examine our walk, our choices, and our hearts. Are we truly living in a way that honors those who sacrificed for us? More importantly, are we living in a way that honors the ultimate sacrifice made by Jesus Christ?

“No man hath greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” — John 15:13 (KJV)

“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost…” — Acts 2:4 (KJV)

We are thankful today for freedom, for the power of the Holy Spirit, and for the saving grace of Jesus Christ that continues to transform lives here at Bethel Colony of Mercy.

What a blessing it was for the men and women of Bethel Colony of Mercy to spend the day worshiping with the wonderful congregation of Grandin Baptist Church.

Nestled in the mountains of North Carolina, Grandin Baptist carries a rich history as a faithful country church that has stood for generations proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Though it was our first time visiting, from the moment we arrived, we felt right at home.

The day was filled with heartfelt worship through song, powerful testimonies of lives changed by the saving grace of Jesus, and sweet fellowship with some truly loving people. The hospitality shown to us was overwhelming. Our bellies — and our hearts — were full after enjoying an amazing meal of all-American hot dogs, chili, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, and desserts that could make anybody smile.

We are so thankful for the kindness, love, and warm welcome shown to all of us from Bethel Colony of Mercy. We pray this was the beginning of an ongoing relationship and friendship centered around Christ and His redeeming power.

Thank you, Grandin Baptist Church, for opening your doors and your hearts to us. May God richly bless your church family. Amen.

There’s something special about watching God build more than just a building — He’s making room for more lives to be changed.

These pictures show the progress being made on “Ruth’s Refuge,” the new duplex staff housing for the women’s campus here at Bethel Colony of Mercy. As the women’s ministry continues to grow, so does the need for more staff and more room to serve the women who come here searching for freedom from addiction and a new beginning through Jesus Christ.

This project has been a true labor of love. We’ve had volunteers working side by side with our students and staff, former Bethel graduates coming back to give back, community members with a heart for this ministry, and generous supporters donating lumber packages, materials, time, and hard work to help make this vision possible.

Every board, nail, and wall going up is a reminder that people still care about offering hope and second chances to those who feel lost and broken by addiction. Progress is being made, and we are grateful to see this project coming along so well.

To everyone who has prayed, donated, worked, encouraged, or supported this effort in any way — thank you. Your kindness and sacrifice are helping create a place where lives can continue to be restored through the power of Jesus Christ.

God bless each and every one of you.

Today, from all of us at Bethel Colony of Mercy’s men’s and women’s campuses, we want to honor the mothers who never gave up on us.

To the moms who cried behind closed doors… who spent sleepless nights wondering if the phone would ring… who prayed when we were too lost to pray for ourselves… thank you.

Many of us walked down dark roads of addiction, brokenness, and hopelessness. Yet through it all, you stood in the gap and called out to God on our behalf, asking Him to rescue us from the pit and bring us into His marvelous light. Your prayers mattered more than you may ever know.

When we finally came to the end of ourselves and realized we needed help, you were there with open arms, ready to help us get to Bethel Colony and toward the healing and freedom found through Jesus Christ. Through His blood, His sacrifice, and His saving grace, we have been given hope for a future.

Thank you for loving us when we were hard to love.
Thank you for believing there was still something worth saving in us.
Thank you for never stopping your prayers.

We love you dearly.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms out there from the Bethel Colony family. ❤️

What an incredible day at the Bethel Colony of Mercy’s Women’s Campus Annual Royal Tea Fundraiser! (Sponsered by: The Banquet Shoppe in Lenoir NC)

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the amazing turnout of supporters, alumni, volunteers, churches, and friends who gathered together with a heart for this ministry and for women seeking freedom from addiction through the saving power of Jesus Christ. What a blessing it was to see so many people united for such a meaningful cause.

Because of your generosity and support, over $15,000 was raised to help further the ministry at the Women’s Campus and continue the work of restoring lives, rebuilding families, and sharing the hope of Christ with women in need.

A special thank you to every volunteer, donor, alumni, and supporter who helped make this event such a success. Your love, prayers, hard work, and dedication are making an eternal impact.

We are truly thankful for each and every one of you, and we already look forward to seeing you again next year!

Tomorrow, we join with our nation in observing the **National Day of Prayer**

Here at Bethel Colony of Mercy, we’ll be gathering in groups all across the hill from **10:30 to 11:30 AM**, lifting up our hearts together in prayer—for our communities, our leaders, our nation, and for those still struggling with addiction and in need of hope.

We invite you, wherever you are, to join in with us during this time. There is something powerful about coming together in unity before the Lord.

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face... then will I hear from heaven..." — 2 Chronicles 7:14

Let’s stand together in faith today.

What a blessing our time was at Calvary Baptist Church Gastonia
This past week.

For many years, this church has faithfully supported the mission of Bethel Colony of Mercy and the work God is doing in the lives of men and women seeking freedom from addiction. Once again, they outdid themselves with an incredible meal and a spread that filled every plate—and then some!

More than the food, we were deeply touched by the love shown to our students. The altar was filled as members of the congregation gathered around, praying over our guys and girls. It was a powerful reminder that they are not alone on this journey. Calvary Baptist truly demonstrated the heart of Christ through their compassion, encouragement, and unwavering support.

We are so grateful for their continued investment in changed lives, restored hearts, and new futures through Jesus Christ. Thank you for loving our students so well and standing with us in this mission.

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 NKJV
