Yesterday we had a joyous celebration of Palm Sunday! Carrying palms in procession we spiritually participated in the Entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem on the foal of a donkey

By raising Lazarus from the dead before Thy passion,
Thou didst confirm the universal resurrection, O Christ God!
Like the children with the branches of victory,
we cry out to Thee, O Vanquisher of Death:
Hosanna in the highest!
Blessed is he who cometh in the name of the Lord!

This weekend we received a new member into our community! Finley Kurbatov, son of Dmitriy and Katie Kurbatov, was baptized and is now a full member of the Orthodox Church. God grant him many years! Today we celebrated our Lord's Transfiguration on the mountain. After Liturgy we blessed the fruits of the harvest!

"Thou wast transfigured on the mountain, O Christ God, revealing Thy glory to Thy disciples as far as each one could endure. Let Thy everlasting Light also shine upon us sinners, through the prayers of the Theotokos O Light-giver, glory to Thee!"
