HOLY & RIGHTEOUS

One of the most important things that we need to know and learn as Christian Believers is that when God looks at us today, He looks at our spirit. And, when God looks at us spiritually, He see us as completely HOLY and RIGHTEOUS in His eyes because we are IN CHRIST. That means He is always pleased and happy with us, because our spirits have been made brand new...Now we look just like His Beloved Son, JESUS!!!

Knowing, then, that God sees us as Holy and Righteous, and that He calls us justified and righteous IN CHRIST, our job is to come into agreement with Him, and to Faithfully present our bodies to Him as a Living sacrifice, Holy and acceptable unto Him, and to not be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, that we may prove what is His good and acceptable and perfect Will for us. (See Romans 12:1-2.)

Though our flesh continues to be dead and rotten, in time, even our bodies (all our fleshly, worldly desires) will begin to be transformed as our mind is spiritually renewed by the Word of God. That, Dear Ones, is quite literally what the perfect Will of God is all about. Through JESUS, He is helping us to become like Him, to have His Divine Nature and Character!!!

Always remember this: It takes a truly humble spirit to repent, turn to JESUS and admit that you need Him and His Holiness and Righteousness. That is because sinful pride always wants to reject His free gift of Righteousness and not receive it. So, let us all commit to seeking God's Kingdom (JESUS) first and His Righteousness, and the knowledge of the Righteousness we have in Him, and absolutely ALL of the Blessings of God will be added to us as JESUS meets our needs. That, my friends, is His promise to us!!! (See Matthew 6:25-34.)

WALK IN THE LIGHT

Long ago, our Heavenly Father was described as being covered or dressed and wrapped up in a robe of Light, and as One whose Word itself is a sweet Light of understanding and direction.

Psalm 119:101-105 [KJV]
I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word. I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me. How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Then, along came JESUS the Messiah - the very Word of God and the Light of the world - offering Salvation for YOU and me. JESUS made the Way possible for us to truly LIVE in God's glorious Light! So, LIVE! Live IN CHRIST, Who is God's Truth and Grace!

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. Once YOU are truly LIVING IN CHRIST, you will begin to WALK and grow and mature IN THE LIGHT. Anyone who professes to be a Believer and does not begin to walk in the Light, but walks instead by the flesh in spiritual darkness and depravity is still bound up in a deadly lie, and is not LIVING and walking in fellowship with JESUS. So, check YOUR heart today...

This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

Ephesians 5:8-14 [NLT]
For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true. Dear Ones, eternity is forever, so you need to be absolutely certain of your Salvation. Before you die, you need to know for sure that you are LIVING IN CHRIST. Then, there can be no falling away. Once YOU belong to God, JESUS Himself clearly and plainly promises that no one shall ever be able to remove you from your Heavenly Father’s hand. Sadly, there will be a great falling away in the days to come, but those will be people who claimed to know JESUS, but were never truly LIVING and walking in His Light, and thus never had their names written in the Lamb’s Book of LIFE.

And the nations shall walk amidst the light thereof: and the kings of the earth bring their glory into it. Choose this day to honor your Heavenly Father! If YOU have not done so already, with sincerity and all of your heart, then turn to JESUS and ask Him to save YOU! Then start practicing walking in His Light! By this you may know that you are Saved!

Learning to clothe yourself, every day, IN CHRIST, by turning to Him for all that you have need of, and walking consistently in His Light is 100%, absolute indisputable evidence of your Salvation! No human being can truly LOVE God and all other people, do all manner of good works, always experience great peace and joy, and be constantly thankful and full of praise in their spirit, proclaiming the great majesty and excellencies of God, who is not genuinely LIVING and walking in the brilliant radiance of the Light of CHRIST! So, make LIVING IN JESUS and walking in His Light your personal witness and testimony today!

Always remember how incredibly much JESUS LOVES YOU! Then submit yourself to God and just walk in the marvelous Light of His Loving presence - LIVING IN CHRIST and letting His Light shine through YOU! And, JESUS Himself will Bless YOU indeed, Faithfully and Lovingly exalting and perfecting YOU with His great Righteousness!

NOW, THAT IS TRUE LIFE, and REALLY GOOD, GOOD NEWS!

Be CONTENT, in Christ, not complacent!

REGARDING CONTENTMENT, always remember this:
JESUS Loves YOU!!!
Unconditionally!!!
Passionately!!!
Infinitely!!!
And, Completely!!!
For, GOD IS LOVE!!!
Love is God’s very nature!!!
And, He has made YOU the object of His Divine LOVE (JESUS)!!!
So, YOU are now God’s Child!!!
You have been adopted into His Holy Family!!!
You too are now His BELOVED, in Christ…
In whom He is always WELL PLEASED, in Christ!!!
There is nothing your Heavenly Father will not do to Love YOU!!!
And, everything you need, He has already provided for YOU!!!
You have gained ALL of this, in Christ Jesus!!!
This is your GREAT SALVATION!!!
And, it is a FINISHED work!!!
Of this, YOU can be assured!!!
And, in this, you can be absolutely CONTENT!!!

Regarding COMPLACENCY, consider this:
If you take a good hard, discerning look around, you will undoubtedly see a pervasive evil spreading rampantly throughout the nations of the world today. That, Dear Ones, is happening while most Christian men and women sit idly by, doing little if anything to honor and glorify our Lord and Savior by actively upholding the banner of Truth before others, which is JESUS CHRIST, Himself.

As the Church, we all know that JESUS Loves us (see above). We also know that Scripture says this world will come to an end one day soon. Obviously, we are aware from end-times prophecy that the days will continue to grow more and more evil during this age. However, there is nothing in Scripture which suggests we should be complacent and just sit back and let all these things happen unchecked. Quite the contrary!

Truly, we are all supposed to learn to be “content,” IN CHRIST. Yet, being passive as a Christian is NOT at all what being spiritually content means. Rather, to be passive is to be “complacent.” And, we most certainly are NOT called to be complacent!

As we studied last week, we as Jesus’ Disciples need to have and exercise Jesus’ ZEAL! (https://www.facebook.com/JesusCoalition/posts/1608182692800917:0) Godly Zeal can never tolerate or ever result in complacency. Such Zeal is ultimately about the attitude we have and demonstrate before others, IN CHRIST! Just as it is with Praying, or with Giving and Receiving, to use a couple of Biblical examples, our attitude often makes all the difference between what we do that is right and what we do that is wrong. So, let us choose now to dare to LIVE and DO even more today, with Godly ZEAL, and change the world around us for the better, IN CHRIST, for our Heavenly Father!

CONSIDER THESE DEFINITIONS:
Spiritual Contentment = Deep, personal satisfaction that God’s Provision (JESUS) and Grace (JESUS) is more than sufficient; not perceiving any lack or the need for more; having God-given Peace (JESUS) even enduring adverse physical circumstances – all of which results from your Trust and Faith in God.

Spiritual Complacency = Shallow, personal satisfaction with how the things of the world are; showing uncritical satisfaction with oneself, one’s physical circumstances and/or one’s relationship with God, and not even wanting to try to change or improve them – which is the result of (fleshly) uncaring, spiritual laziness.

Do you want to really LIVE? Do you want to experience an amazing Life filled with CONTENTMENT, and not complacency? If your answer is a resounding "YES," then PRAISE GOD!!! Truly, that is a great need throughout the Body of Christ, today!!! For sure, we do NOT want to stand before our Heavenly Father one day soon, only to hear Him say that we were merely “lukewarm…”

So, how do you get started? Just like an athlete would…you have to practice, practice, practice!!! We must all learn to maintain a proper balance as we walk through this Life. And, you can only learn to do that with practice! So, from this point forward, choose to purposefully walk IN LOVE each day, IN CHRIST, being led by the Spirit and not by the flesh, and you will soon find JESUS teaching you to be ever more CONTENT, and how not to become passive, or to ever become overly consumed with the things of this world. Instead, you will find your focus and attention naturally stayed on all those things that can and will make a difference for the rest of Eternity, like:

Loving other People!!!
Sharing God’s Word!!!
Being Kind and Generous to those in need!!!
And, Making Disciples!!!
All of which results in YOU becoming more and more like JESUS!!!

PLEASE BE ENCOURAGED IN THIS, DEAR CHURCH FAMILY, AND KNOW THAT YOU ARE INDEED LOVED!!!

NOW, LET US ALL STAND UP TOGETHER FOR JESUS, AND GO MAKE EVERY DAY COUNT, IN CHRIST!!!

So WE MUST LISTEN VERY CAREFULLY TO THE TRUTH we have heard, or we may drift away from it. For the message God delivered through angels has always stood firm, and every violation of the law and every act of disobedience was punished. So what makes us think we can escape if we ignore this GREAT SALVATION that was first announced by the Lord Jesus himself and then delivered to us by those who heard him speak?

WHAT ARE WE MISSING?

Please take a moment to read the following prophetic passage of Scripture, which was written approximately 700 years before Jesus was born in Bethlehem. Sadly, that passage still sounds very much like the world today, does it not? Thus, Solomon was absolutely right when he was divinely inspired to write in Ecclesiastes that all is vanity and that there is nothing new “under the sun.”

Isaiah 59:9-15 [NLT; Emphasis added.]
So there is no justice among us, and we know nothing about right living. We look for light but find only darkness. We look for bright skies but walk in gloom. We grope like the blind along a wall, feeling our way like people without eyes. Even at brightest noontime, we stumble as though it were dark. Among the living, we are like the dead. We growl like hungry bears; we moan like mournful doves. We look for justice, but it never comes. We look for rescue, but it is far away from us. For our sins are piled up before God and testify against us. Yes, we know what sinners we are. We know we have rebelled and have denied the Lord. We have turned our backs on our God. We know how unfair and oppressive we have been, carefully planning our deceitful lies. Our courts oppose the righteous, and justice is nowhere to be found. Truth stumbles in the streets, and honesty has been outlawed. Yes, truth is gone, and anyone who renounces evil is attacked. THE LORD LOOKED AND WAS DISPLEASED TO FIND THERE WAS NO JUSTICE.

Truly, apart from our Heavenly Father (under the sun), our lives will never be satisfying or ever have any real meaning. That is why we ALL so desperately need ALL of JESUS! We are ALL supposed to be JESUS’ Loving Disciples, and so we should ALL be following Him closely, ultimately becoming more and more like Him each day. (Note: That is the precise historical definition of what it means to be a Disciple – to follow closely as a student in the footsteps of one’s Master, in order to serve and Live and become like Him.)

As such, each of us, as members of The Church, are also called to physically function together in Love and harmony and Unity of Spirit with one another to serve as the very Body of Christ on earth today. But, all too often it seems, we fail to first fully dress and equip ourselves each and every day, in Christ. We may be trying to talk the talk, but quite obviously, something is missing in our daily walk with the Lord. Otherwise, the world would look like a very different place by now…

Presumably, as Jesus’ Disciples, we have all heard the Gospel Message and know the Truth, so what is it that we are still missing? The answer to that question is PASSION! We must ALL first learn to dress and equip ourselves daily IN CHRIST, in the knowledge and understanding of the great Truth and Righteousness and Peace and Faith and Salvation and Spirit that we have been given, in Him. But then, after the example of our Lord JESUS CHRIST, we must also learn to wrap ALL of that GOOD NEWS up in great, white hot, Godly zeal! A Loving, burning passion as Jesus’ Beloved Disciples, IN CHRIST, will help us to stay alert and to pray, and to remain steadfast in God’s Word (JESUS), that we might resist sin and the wiles of the devil, just as He Himself did!

Following Jesus‘ perfect example, we can also go boldly forth, in LOVE, with the Good News Gospel of Jesus Christ and change the world, as we ought. In our own power (or rather the lack thereof) we will always struggle (in vain) to put down our flesh and get spiritually excited and motivated to go personally Minister the Love of Jesus. That is okay. That does not excuse us from the task, however, for we absolutely can do it IN CHRIST. We have literally been vested with ALL of the power and ability and authority of JESUS CHRIST to go work and speak in His Name as His Holy Spirit living in us leads and guides and instructs us.

Know this, therefore: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are One! And, we have been made One with Him, IN CHRIST! Now, as true Ambassadors of Heaven, that should be more than enough to really excite and motivate each and every one of us! In Christ, YOUR Life and mine has been given truly great meaning and purpose! So, stand up, GO forth and really begin to LIVE for Jesus today!

When YOU and I and The Church finally begin to exercise a little more Godly passion or zeal, and do so consistently and Faithfully, IN CHRIST, you can rest assured that the world will never again be found the same tomorrow!

BE ENCOURAGED DEAR ONES, AND GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU! HOW WONDERFUL IT IS TO BE PART OF THE FAMILY OF GOD!

FINALLY, be strong IN THE LORD and in the strength of HIS POWER. Put on the whole armor OF GOD, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the WHOLE ARMOR of God, so that you may be able to withstand on that evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

HE will repay his enemies for their evil deeds. HIS fury will fall on his foes. HE will pay them back even to the ends of the earth. In the west, people will respect the name of the Lord; in the east, they will glorify him. Dear friends, NEVER take revenge. Leave that to the RIGHTEOUS anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the Lord. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads.” Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing GOOD.

Than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O LORD OF HOSTS, HOW BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO TRUSTS IN YOU!

No matter what evil, ugly circumstances or situations we may face in this fallen and corrupt world today, JESUS, the Lord Our God, is the One Who Graciously and Gloriously illuminates our path and gives us direction (sun), and JESUS is the One Who Faithfully covers and protects us with his wings and shades (shield) us from the fiery darts of the devil.

Stick and stones in this world may occasionally break our bones, but the fact is that our Salvation, which is JESUS Himself, is Completely Perfect, and Perfectly Complete. That means that when you are Alive and Living IN CHRIST, there is absolutely nothing that the devil can ever do to harm you spiritually. No one can ever pluck you from your Heavenly Father's hands!

The Good News is that every Believer Living in and through JESUS CHRIST will one day see Heaven! And, until that day comes, even while we are still yet in this world, as we heed God's Voice and continue to walk with JESUS in The Way of Righteousness, we may also experience His Guidance and Protection! In JESUS, we have received the Fullness of God's Glory and Grace. No Good Thing does He withhold from us as we Live IN CHRIST!

Truly, we are Blessed who Trust in JESUS for Salvation! Truly, we are Blessed to have God's Holy Spirit Living in us! Truly, God the Father and God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are One, and we are now One with Him!

What Divine Peace and Joy we may all have IN CHRIST...and not just for a moment, but ALWAYS!

LET US ALL JOYFULLY AND THANKFULLY PRAISE THE LORD!
