Today, we're asking our FCA family to stop scrolling for just a moment and PRAY.

🙏 Pray for the schools throughout Loudon and Monroe Counties.

Pray for the student walking into school carrying something nobody else knows about.

Pray for the athlete struggling to find their identity.

Pray for the coach whose influence reaches far beyond a scoreboard.

Pray for FCA student leaders who are willing to stand for Christ when it isn't always easy.

Pray for teachers, administrators and families.

And above everything else...

Pray that JESUS would be made known.

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations...” — Matthew 28:19

There are mission fields around the world.

But there is also a mission field underneath the Friday night lights.

There is one inside the gym.

Inside the locker room.

Inside the classroom.

Inside every school FCA has the opportunity to serve.

Lord, give us open doors, courageous students, faithful coaches and hearts ready to hear the Gospel.

May everything we do point back to You.

Amen. 🙏

What if a sponsorship wasn't simply your business name on a sign?

What if it became part of something ETERNAL?

⛳ The Ft. Loudoun FCA Golf Open is coming October 12, and we're looking for businesses, churches and individuals who want to partner with us as sponsors.

But this is about much more than golf.

It's about helping create opportunities for coaches and athletes to hear about Jesus, open God's Word, be discipled and take their faith back into their teams and schools.

Scripture reminds us:

“Each person should do as he has decided in his heart—not reluctantly or out of compulsion, since God loves a cheerful giver.” — 2 Corinthians 9:7

God has given each of us different resources, businesses, relationships and opportunities.

The question is:

How can we use what He's entrusted to us for His Kingdom?

The world tells athletes:

PROVE you’re good enough.
PROVE you belong.
PROVE you deserve the starting spot.
PROVE you deserve the scholarship.
PROVE your worth.

The Gospel tells us something completely different.

Jesus already proved His love for us at the Cross.

“But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8

That changes EVERYTHING.

Our identity isn't found in a jersey.
It isn't determined by a stat sheet.
It isn't increased by a win or destroyed by a loss.

Our identity is found in CHRIST.

That is a message our young people desperately need to hear.

And through FCA, coaches and athletes throughout our communities are hearing it.

Not just how to become better competitors.

How to become disciples of Jesus Christ.

⛳ WHAT IF YOUR NEXT ROUND OF GOLF COULD HELP POINT A YOUNG PERSON TO JESUS?

On October 12, golfers will come together for the Ft. Loudoun FCA Golf Open.

Yes, there will be competition.
Yes, there will probably be a few questionable mulligans. 😏
And yes, somebody is absolutely going to claim they “normally make that putt.”

But the reason we're gathering is much bigger than golf.

It’s about ministry.

It’s about helping FCA continue reaching coaches and athletes with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

“Whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31

🏈🏐🏀🏃 The scoreboard eventually turns off.

The trophies collect dust.

The records eventually get broken.

But what God does in the heart of a young person can last for ETERNITY.

Jesus said:

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth... But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven.” — Matthew 6:19–20

That is why FCA exists.

Across Loudon and Monroe Counties, we have the incredible opportunity to meet coaches and athletes where they are and point them toward something greater than wins, losses, stats, scholarships or championships.

We get to point them toward JESUS.

Our prayer this school year is bigger than successful Huddles or well-attended events.

We are praying for lives changed.
We are praying for coaches strengthened.
We are praying for students discipled.
We are praying for the Gospel to spread from team to team, school to school and community to community.
