Today, the US Supreme Court announced it would not revisit a case that could have had serious consequences for the legal standing of marriage for several legal marriages within the United States.

We would like to publicly thank the United States Supreme Court for refusing to hear the case and revisit the Landmark decision that afforded many U.S. citizens the Constitutional Right to the legal union of marriage.

We view marriage and a wedding as two different things. To us, a wedding is a sacrament and should be left up to the church or religious institution of the faithful. A marriage is a legal contract in which a state grants you a license to legally entwine your lives. You can have one, or the other, or both. This should be YOUR CHOICE.

As a reminder, we will be happy to officiate your wedding, handfasting, commitment ceremony, and make it your day. In honor of the court's decision, we will not charge you for our services. We do not anyway; we only ask for a donation to be made to a charity of our choice in our name.

To those with whom this decision has or would have impacted, we celebrate with you. “We the People” does mean ALL the people.

In light of current happenings in the docket of the SCOTUS. We at Marshall Ministries believe that love is love. We are open and available to perform your weddings, handfastings, commitment ceremonies, etc. Making them special for you.

We never charge a standard fee for our services. We only ask that a donation be made to a charity of our choice.

From time to time we get asked about our services. We can and will perform weddings for you to meet your needs. As a standard practice we do not charge for these services. How do you put a price tag on the priceless? What we do ask is that you make a donation to a charity of our choice in our name. That amount is up to you. The charity will never be our ministry. Normally, mine will always be of a Masonic nature so we can bless you and continue the work in the community to those that may need it.

We have not posted in a while. But tonight is a very special night for us at Marshall Ministries. In a very private ceremony our son got married to his bride Nasby. Due to timing they plan on a more public ceremony with family and friends later.

We offer legal weddings, commitment services, etc. All we ask is you make a donation to a charity of our choice...of an amount you choose. We do not do this for an income. We have had a very busy weekend at Marshall Ministries. We were given the honor of officiating two separate weddings. One here in Kansas City and the other in the Dodge City area. We will always do weddings free of charge. We do not see the need to put a price tag on the priceless. However as we have posted before we do accept and recommend a donation be made to a charity of our choice. The charities that Rev. Duane Marshall will work with are"

1. The Kansas Masonic Foundation. The Masons of Kansas provide scholarships for students, band camp opportunities, as well as research to treat and one day cure cancer at the Kansas Masonic Cancer Center at KU Hospital in Kansas City. These are only a few of the functions of the Kansas Masonic Foundation. Please google them for more information. https://kansasmasonic.foundation/programs/

2. Kick Back for Cody. A scholarship program in honor of our nephew who was killed in a road rage incident. This organization is designed to assist students involved in motocross, wrestling, or musical performance. https://www.kickbackforcody.org/

3. The Free Runners Masonic Order Distressed Brother Fund. Duane is a Freemason and a member of FRMO. This is a group of Motorcycle riders who are Freemasons. This fund is designed to assist Brothers with in FRMO who need a hand up from their Brothers, so they may continue Masonic work with in their communities, World Wide. https://www.frmoww.com/

Rev. Nikki Marshall may have other charitable groups she works with. But I will let her speak to that.

Free Runners Masonic Order is an unofficial Masonic Order. We were set up for Masons a little rougher around the edges and that might not fit the stereotypical mold. We are a group for motorcyclists and hot-rodders.
