Happy Ressurection Sunday! Thank you to Pastor Orris Whitley for delivery a great message today. We were feed on the word of God, took communion and had a wonderful time of fellowship with our Mt. Olive Baptist Church Family.

Good morning Family. I woke up with a heavy heart with Mary, Jesus's mother on my mind. Years ago, I attended "The Stations of the Cross" at St. Peter and was brought to tears by the complete realization that Mary watched her baby boy be crucified for the remission of our sins and she never said a word.

I don't remember how far along the walk we were when it hit me; I always knew that Mary was there but to know that she watched her baby being stripped naked and beaten, being forced to carry his cross through the streets, she watched as the drove iron nails through his hands and feet and hung him on a cross and she watched as they placed a crown of thorns on his head. I wept and I still weep when I think about it. Oh, Mary did you know?

I read a friend's post on FB this morning and she said that she was grateful to Mary for letting her baby boy die on the cross so that her baby boy could run free; it touched my heart.

We should all be grateful to Mary and take some time to read her story; a young virgin, impregnated by the Holy Spirit, she traveled by donkey, while she was very pregnant and gave birth in a stable. Oh, Mary did you know?

I encourage you all to remember Mary in your prayers. If you don't know Jesus and you want to know him; read your Bibles and get to know him and experience his love for you!

Romans 10:9, "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." NKJ

Good evening, Family. We would like to invite you to come out to "The Seven Sayings of Jesus and Soup Fellowship." Pastor Orris Whitley will be one of the speakers at this event on April 2, 2026 at First Christian Church of Hanford. Soup will be served at 6:00. Please see the flyer below for more information.

While our world may seem to be out of control, the men of God are still preaching the gospel and God is still in control! Keep your focus on GOD and not the chaos of the world. Spend some time with God, reading scripture or take a walk outside and enjoy the warmth of the sun on your skin, listen to his birds serenade you and to appreciate the beauty of a flower. God is still with us! Have a great evening and enjoy God's sweet blessings!

God has richly blessed us in 2025! Our parking lots are completed, we have installed lights in the parking lot and completed our drought-tolerant landscaping! Our congregation is growing and we have people that are willing to work for the Lord!

Thank you to the congregation for financially supporting the church. Thank you to the friends of Mt. Olive who think of us and support us from afar by mailing donations to the church. Thank you Jesus for blessing us!

Please know that the Pastor is a good Steward of the monies donated to the church and we support Crossroads Pregnancy Center, the Salvation Army, and the Hanford-Lemoore Gideons by making monthly donations to these organization who are working to help the people of our community.

Thank you God for your steadfast love and guidance for enabling Mt. Olive Baptist Church to be a blessing in our community. Our God IS God!
