GOD SEES WHAT NO ONE ELSE CAN SEE.
ARE WE WILLING TO REPENT?

Proverbs 15:11 (NASB)
“Sheol and Abaddon lie open before the LORD, How much more the hearts of men!”

If the depths of the grave are open before God, how much more are our hearts fully exposed before Him 🫣

God sees beyond our outward appearance. He sees the motives behind our actions, the thoughts we entertain in secret, the bitterness we refuse to release, the bitterness we hide behind a smile,
the pride we disguise, & the sins we continue to justify. We may fool people w/ religious words & outward appearances, but we can never deceive an all knowing God.

This verse calls us to examine ourselves honestly. Are we harboring sin while pretending to be spiritually right? Have we become so comfortable w/ attitudes & behaviors that grieve the heart of God? Are we so quick to point out the sins of others but slow to acknowledge our own?

Church, this is a call to repentance!
We must stop making excuses for sin, stop justifying what God calls us to forsake, & stop hiding behind our religious activities. God is not looking for a performance. He desires a heart that is humble, broken over sin, & willing to turn back to Him today.

Repentance is more than feeling bad or saying, “I'm sorry.” It means agreeing w/God about our sin, turning away from it, & choosing obedience to His Word. We cannot sincerely ask God to search our hearts & then refuse to surrender what He reveals to us.

Today, let us come before the Lord w/ honesty & humility. Confess what needs to be confessed. Forsake what needs to be forsaken. Make right what needs to be made right.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way.”
Psalm 139:23–24

The question is not, What do people see in me? but What does God see in my heart?
May we never become so concerned w/ looking right before people that we neglect getting right with God.

Let us repent while our hearts can still be softened by His Word, & return to the Lord with our whole hearts.

GOD IS NOT LOOKING FOR MOMENTARY DEVOTION.

Hosea 6:4 NASB

What shall I do with you, O Ephraim? What shall I do with you, O Judah? For your loyalty is like a morning cloud And like the dew which goes away early.

Faithful when it’s convenient. Absent when it costs something.

Is your devotion to God consistent or is it conditional?
