Do you actually want to get well?

It sounds like a strange question. But in John 5, Jesus asks a man who had been ill for 38 years exactly that. Because sometimes we grow so comfortable in our brokenness that our identity gets built around it.

Jesus doesn’t want to leave us there. He loves us too much to let us stay the same. “Get up. Pick up your mat and walk.”

What is Jesus inviting you to get up from today?

4 friends.

That’s all Scripture tells us. Four friends believed Jesus could heal their paralyzed friend, so they carried him to Him. (Mark 2:3–5)

We don’t know their names. We don’t know their stories. But we do know this: their faith and willingness to carry someone closer to Jesus changed everything.

The paralyzed man couldn’t get to Jesus on his own. He needed community. He needed people willing to uphold him when he couldn’t walk by himself. And isn’t it beautiful that God designed us this way?

We were never meant to do life alone. God calls us to run this race together, strengthening one another, carrying one another, and pointing each other back to Jesus.

We need His Church.
And the world needs His Church, too. 🤍

May we never lose sight of the faithful and gracious God we serve, a God who does far more than all we could ask or imagine.

We remain deeply grateful and full of faith as we reflect on all God has done and look ahead with expectancy for the ministry that will continue on Bell Rd for as long as He allows.

Just as Solomon built the temple unto the Lord, this house belongs to the Him and is for Him alone. What a beautiful moment, it was on Sunday to stand together as His church and faithfully declare, once again, that this building is for His glory.
