Nearly 30 Years of Faithful Ministry in Los Cabos

For nearly 30 years, this family has faithfully served their community and surrounding remote communities through medical care, dental care, and physical therapy.

Through every season, God has sustained them, guided them, and given them strength to continue serving and sharing His Word.

This season has brought some health challenges. Dr. Ávila’s health has improved since his diagnosis of hyperthyroidism, and his wife, Soledad, is recovering after emergency gallbladder surgery. There were complications at first, but thankfully, she is doing better.

Despite these challenges, the family continues serving at the clinic, making home visits, and providing groceries and medications to those in need.

Please pray for Dr. Ávila and Soledad’s continued health and recovery, and for the entire family as they continue serving the Lord.

God has been faithful through every season, and we trust Him for what He will continue to do in Los Cabos.

We’re grateful for the way God has provided for the new medical air compressor system at Hospital El Buen Pastor in San Quintín. This essential system will support patient care, medical equipment, and daily hospital operations.

Help Bring Healing and Hope to Cuba

A mission trip to Cuba is planned for this coming November. Seven people will be part of this mission trip, serving alongside the local church in Havana, Cuba.

Three of the participants are members of the church that Pastor Rafael (Junior) shepherds in Baja California, Mexico. This will be their first trip to Cuba.

Our missionary internship gives students the opportunity to:

• Deepen their relationship with God.
• Learn to love through serving others.
• Build lasting friendships.
• Experience life-changing ministry firsthand.

Our summer missionary interns play a vital role in supporting the ministries of Mexican Medical Ministries. As they serve through practical projects and ministry opportunities, they grow in their relationship with the Lord while working alongside missionaries.
Whether assisting with outreach, construction, hosting teams, or everyday tasks, they learn that every act of service is an opportunity to share Christ's love.

A Fight at VBS?

Well... not exactly what you might think!

Our Vacation Bible School includes fun skits to help children better understand the Bible stories. In this scene, the shepherd had to stop the wolf from taking one of the sheep.

Let's just say... the actor playing the shepherd got really into his role!

Moments like these bring lots of laughter while helping kids learn God's Word in a memorable way.

Bringing Healing to Baja California Sur

The Ávila family has been faithfully serving the Lord on the mission field since the 1990s.

Álvaro and Soledad, together with their daughter Dubiel, conduct medical campaigns in different communities throughout Cabo San Lucas and other parts of Baja California Sur, bringing healing and hope while sharing the Gospel.

Through this wonderful ministry, many people have received medical care, while others have found the hope of Christ.

After their activities, the children eagerly head outside to wash their hands and gather together in prayer, thanking the Lord for the meal they are about to receive.

Many families struggle to meet basic needs, including putting food on the table. At House of Hope, we have the privilege of caring for these families and showing them the love and hope of Christ.

Update from Marcos and Ruby Lee,

It has been a busy summer for Marcos and Ruby. Marcos has been preaching and teaching at their local church and recently had the opportunity to share God’s Word at a Taekwondo summer camp.

They also joined Ministerio Alegría in Guerrero Negro for several days of community outreach and ministry.

Please pray for renewed strength and for God to continue using them to share the hope of Christ!

A Prayer Answered

The Asael Ministry began after Lázaro and Idali's son, Asael, was born with an intellectual disability.

Wanting to support other families facing similar challenges, they felt God calling them to serve children with disabilities throughout their community.

Since then, the ministry has reached 47 children across the San Quintín Valley, providing care, encouragement, and hope to families in need.

Their local church embraced this vision and graciously opened its facilities for the ministry to use. Now, they are in the process of building a permanent home where they can continue serving even more children and their families.

Although the journey ahead is still long, they remain confident in God's faithfulness and continue trusting Him to provide every step of the way.
