No I am not telling you to have an attitude. Jesus said:

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness… it is no longer good for anything.” — Matthew 5:13

Salt doesn’t exist to blend in—it exists to make a difference. It preserves. It brings flavor. It stands out. As followers of Jesus, we’re called to do the same. The world will constantly pressure you to fit in, lower your standards, and look like everyone else. But Jesus didn’t call us to be comfortable—He called us to be set apart. Being “salty” means loving people when it’s difficult.
Choosing integrity when no one is watching.
Standing for truth even when it’s unpopular.
Living differently because you belong to Jesus. Don’t lose what makes you different.

John 17:16 reminds us,
“They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.”

So don’t be afraid to stand out. Your life should make people curious about the God you serve. Stay salty. The world has enough people who blend in. It needs disciples who stand out. 🧡🍟
