Our prayers have been answered!! Students facing food insecurity are finding their way to the Care Cabinet at the High School. The photo on the left was taken on October 30, the photo on the right is from today, November 7th. We will restock the cabinet this week so continue to bring in microwaveable, shelf stable meals throughout the month of November. We have a request to place a cabinet at the middle school so we will be working towards that as well.

Please continue to pray that hungry students find their way to the Care Cabinet and that as students have this very basic need met they feel the love of Jesus and come to know Him.

MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY:
Last year FBC Youth Ministry started a “Care Cabinet" at GCHS for those facing food insecurity at home. The cabinet contains microwave ready items that students can take home for evening and weekend meals. The Care Cabinet remains unlocked so students can access it- no questions asked. Each food item contains a QR code that when scanned, provides information about our church. For the month of November students will have the opportunity to participate in a non perishable, microwave friendly food drive to stock the cabinet for the fall and winter. A few examples include microwave ready soups, SpaghettiO's and Ramen Noodles.

The fall youth retreat is just around the corner! We will be leaving Sunday, November 2 right after worship and will return Monday, November 3rd around 1:00pm. The cost is $15 and includes all meals, snacks and materials. To insure that there is enough interest for the event the registration deadline has been moved to Sunday, October 19th.
