This Sunday, Pastor Laurie begins a new sermon series titled Summer at the Lake, where we will spend the summer exploring stories and lessons from Jesus’ ministry by the sea. We begin with "Calling of the Disciples," from Mark 1:14–20, where Jesus walks along the shore and calls ordinary fishermen to leave their nets and follow Him. With a simple invitation—“Follow me”—their lives are forever changed.

This passage reminds us that Jesus often calls ordinary people to extraordinary purposes. The first disciples did not have all the answers, nor did they know where the journey would lead. What set them apart was their willingness to trust Jesus and respond to His call. Their story challenges us to consider how Christ may be inviting us to step out in faith and follow Him more closely in our own lives.

Join us this Sunday as we begin this new summer journey together by the lake. Whether you gather with us in person or worship through the livestream, you are warmly invited to discover how Jesus continues to call people into a life of faith, purpose, and discipleship.

This Sunday, we celebrate Pentecost as Pastor Laurie shares a message titled "The Power of Pentecost." In Acts 2:1–12, the Holy Spirit comes upon the believers with wind, fire, and power, marking the birth of the Church and the beginning of a new movement of faith that would spread throughout the world. What began in an upper room became a bold and Spirit-filled witness that transformed countless lives.

Pentecost reminds us that God does not leave His people to walk alone. The same Spirit that empowered the disciples continues to guide, strengthen, and equip believers today. In moments of uncertainty, fear, or change, the Holy Spirit brings courage, unity, wisdom, and renewed purpose. This powerful gift calls us to live boldly and faithfully as followers of Christ.

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church. Whether you gather with us in person or worship through the livestream, you are warmly invited to experience the hope, joy, and power of Pentecost together. Next Sunday, we will begin a brand-new sermon series titled Summer at the Lake, featuring stories and lessons Jesus taught by the sea.

This Sunday, Pastor Laurie concludes our series Faith That Works with a message titled "Arrogance to Humbleness." In James 5:13–20, we are reminded of the power of prayer, confession, encouragement, and restoring one another in faith. As James closes his letter, he points believers toward a life marked not by pride or self-sufficiency, but by humble dependence on God and genuine care for one another.

Throughout this series, we have explored what it means to live out a faith that truly works in everyday life. This final passage brings those themes together by calling us into a community shaped by compassion, honesty, perseverance, and prayer. James reminds us that faith is not meant to be lived alone—we are called to support one another, seek healing, and gently lead each other back when we wander from God’s path.

Join us this Sunday as we conclude this meaningful journey through the book of James. Whether you gather with us in person or worship through the livestream, you are warmly invited to reflect on how God has been shaping your faith and preparing your heart for the season ahead. Next Sunday, we will celebrate Pentecost together before beginning a brand-new sermon series on May 31st.

This Sunday, Pastor Laurie continues our series Faith That Works with a message titled "Complaining to Patience." In James 5:7–12, we are encouraged to wait patiently for the Lord, standing firm in faith even during seasons of frustration, hardship, and uncertainty. James points to the perseverance of the prophets and the steadfastness of Job as reminders that God is faithful through every trial.

In a world where impatience and complaining can easily take hold, this passage calls us to trust God’s timing and remain faithful in how we speak and live. Patience is more than simply waiting—it is choosing hope, grace, and endurance while God continues His work within us. As we grow in faith, God transforms our hearts from frustration and discouragement into trust and perseverance.

This Sunday, we will also take time to recognize and honor mothers and the many women who have nurtured, guided, and loved others through lives of faithful care and sacrifice. Whether you gather with us in person or worship through the livestream, you are warmly invited to join us for this meaningful time of worship, encouragement, and gratitude.

This Sunday, Pastor Laurie continues our series Faith That Works with a message titled "Self-Indulgence to Compassion." In James 5:1–6, we hear a strong and sobering warning about the dangers of wealth when it is used selfishly and without regard for others. James calls out the injustice and excess that can harden hearts and lead us away from God’s purposes.

This passage challenges us to examine how we use what we have. Are we storing up for ourselves, or are we living with open hands? Faith that works moves us from self-centered living to a life marked by compassion, generosity, and care for those in need. God calls us to reflect His heart by standing for justice and showing mercy in tangible ways.

Join us this Sunday as we reflect on how God transforms our priorities and calls us to live with compassion. Whether you gather with us in person or worship through the livestream, you are warmly invited to be encouraged and challenged to live out a faith that truly works.

This Sunday, Pastor Laurie continues our series Faith That Works with a message titled "Arrogance to Humbleness." In James 4:13–17, we are reminded of how easy it is to make plans and move through life as if we are in full control. James challenges this mindset, calling us to recognize the uncertainty of life and the sovereignty of God over all things.

This passage invites us to shift from self-reliance to humble trust. Instead of boasting about tomorrow, we are called to live with open hands, saying, “If it is the Lord’s will.” True faith acknowledges that our lives are held in God’s care and that our purpose is found in following His direction, not just our own ambitions.

Join us this Sunday as we reflect on what it means to move from arrogance to humbleness. Whether you gather with us in person or worship through the livestream, you are warmly invited to be encouraged and challenged to live each day with a faith that trusts God fully.

This Sunday, Pastor Laurie continues our series Faith That Works with a message titled "Haughtiness to Humbleness." In James 4:1–12, we are invited to take an honest look at the pride, conflicts, and misplaced desires that can take root in our hearts. James points us to the deeper issue behind our struggles—our tendency to place ourselves at the center instead of God.

This passage calls us to a different way of living. Instead of pride, we are invited into humility. Instead of striving and comparison, we are called to draw near to God, trusting in His grace and surrendering our lives to His will. James reminds us that God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble, offering us a path toward peace, restoration, and right relationship with Him and with others.

Join us this Sunday as we reflect on what it means to move from haughtiness to humbleness in our daily lives. Whether you gather with us in person or worship through the livestream, you are warmly invited to be encouraged and challenged to live out a faith

This Sunday, we return to our series Faith That Works as Pastor Laurie continues with a message titled "Worldly to Heavenly." In James 3:13–18, we are invited to consider the difference between wisdom that comes from the world and wisdom that comes from above. After pausing this series during Lent and Easter, we now pick back up where we left off, continuing our journey of discovering what it truly means to live out our faith.

James challenges us to examine the source of our attitudes, decisions, and actions. Worldly wisdom often leads to envy, selfish ambition, and disorder, while heavenly wisdom is marked by purity, peace, gentleness, and humility. This passage calls us to align our lives with God’s truth, allowing His wisdom to shape not only what we believe, but how we live and interact with others.

Join us this Sunday as we continue growing in a faith that works—one that reflects God’s character in every area of life. Whether you gather with us in person or worship through the livestream, you are warmly invited to be encouraged and strengthened as we seek the wisdom that comes from above.

This Sunday, we gather to celebrate the joy and victory of Easter as Pastor Laurie shares a message titled "He Is Risen." In Matthew 28:1–10, we encounter the powerful moment when the women arrive at the tomb and discover that Jesus is no longer there. The stone is rolled away, the grave is empty, and the angel proclaims the good news that changes everything—Christ is risen!

This resurrection moment is the foundation of our faith and the source of our hope. What once seemed like tragedy has been transformed into triumph. Death has been defeated, fear has been replaced with joy, and the promise of new life is made available to all. Easter reminds us that no matter what we face, God’s power to bring life, restoration, and redemption is greater than anything that stands against us.

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate the risen Savior together. Whether you gather with us in person or worship through the livestream, you are warmly invited to rejoice in the hope, joy, and new life found in Jesus Christ. He is risen!
