-Pastor Thompson preached a special Father’s Day sermon on the topic “The Pressure Of Manhood” from Acts 16:23-34
Major points included:
*It’s not easy facing the pressure of manhood when although you have the money, the cars, the house, the clothes, and the women…What you don’t have is the peace, the happiness, and the satisfaction.
*God is able to bring sweet relief to pressure that feels so consuming.
*Don’t let pressure press you in a corner where you think the only option you have is to give up. There’s always an alternative, and that alternative is Jesus Christ!

-Our Praise Team blessed us singing “Pass Me Not” and “You Deserve”.

-Our Marriage Ministry presented special gifts to all fathers, and we also held a special alter call where the eldest man in our congregation, Pastor Jessie Little, spoke a powerful prayer over every man in the church.

-Pastor Thompson preached on the subject “The Magnitude Of A Miracle” from Psalm 40:1-5
Major points included:
*As much as we may not like it, sometimes there are going to be situations where we have no choice but to wait. But what we must do, is learn to wait the right way!
*We must be careful not to just assume everything is alright in somebody’s life based on what it looks like from our external outside perspective.
*When God brings you out, not only will it change your life, but it’ll also change your talk!

-Our Men’s Choir blessed us singing “Hide Behind The Mountain” and “Fix It Jesus”.

-We were honored to host the closing of Sledgefest at our Bethel Community Life Center where they held an amazing Gospel concert!

-Pastor Thompson preached on the subject “You’re In Good Hands” from Isaiah 41:8-10
Major points included:
*A reason we can be assured that we’re in good hands, is because the Lord is constantly thinking about us. The Lord constantly has us on His mind.
*No matter how things become difficult and challenging in life, we’re still under God’s ownership which means we’re still in God’s control!
*Once you’re in the good hands of God, no matter what the devil tries, you can never to be taken out of the good hands of God!

-What an incredible day of baptism as we baptized 5 souls into the kingdom! We give God praise for the commitments of Bro. Keyon Weakley, Sis. Sophie Jones, Bro. Kobee Jones, Sis. Tiena Anderson, and Bro. Douglas Wilhoute who all recently accepted Christ/rededicated their lives, and were baptized today!

-Our Mass Choir blessed us singing “Jesus Promised” and “God Is”.

-We observed the Holy ordinance of Communion together as a church family.
