Victory Baptist Bible Church Victory Baptist Bible Church is in independent, Fundamental, Bible Believing, King James Version only Baptist Church.

Doctrinal Statement

We Believe…

In one eternal Triune God consisting of Father, Son and Holy Ghost. The Bible (God’s Word) to be the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. Furthermore, we believe it to be the inspired, Inerrant and preserved Word of God, found today for the English speaking world in the Authorized Version. (King James)

In the Virgin birth and sinless humanity of

Jesus Christ. That God was manifest in the flesh (Jesus Christ) making salvation available to all of mankind. His Salvation is by grace through faith in the finished work and substitutionary death of the Lord Jesus Christ apart from all works. In the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. All those putting their faith and trust in Christ and His finished work are bon of the Sprit of God, made “New Creatures” in Christ Jesus becoming heirs of God. That water baptism is not a means of Salvation or remission of sin. That it is only applicable to those who have repented of their sin and put their faith and trust in Christ. In the eternal security of the child of God (heir) sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. That it is the duty of all believers to live holy and separated lives. Satan to be the fallen creation and archenemy of God. Heaven to be a literal place where those putting their faith and trust in Christ will spend eternity. Hell (Lake of Fire) to be a literal place where all those rejecting Jesus Christ will spend eternity. In the literal return of Jesus Christ with His saints to rule and reign upon the earth.

"To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you." - C.S. Lewis

Oh, how often we forget that forgiveness until seventy times seven! Oh, how often we forget that Jesus bore all of our sins on the tree, and forgave us of every one of them as the sentence of divine wrath was poured out upon Him! And oh, how often do we fail to forgive others!

Unforgiveness in a Christian is an inconsistency! How can we who are forgiven all of our sin fail to forgive others of some trivial sin by way of comparison?

Matt. 18:21-35 is instructive:

"Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses."

Who have you not forgiven; and not just for yourself and in your own heart, but forgiven by going to that person and informing them that they have been forgiven?

It's what the Lord expects, it's what His word commands, and it is the only proper response to your forginess in Jesus!

If being hurt by the church causes you to lose faith in God, then your faith was in people, not God

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS REGARDING PASSING OUT TRACTS.
“When preaching and private talk are not available, you need to have a tract ready…get good striking tracts, or none at all. A touching gospel tract may be the seed of eternal life. Therefor do not go out without your tracts. Let each one of us, if we have done nothing for Christ, begin to do something now. The distribution of tracts is the first thing.”
- Charles Spurgen

“Nothing surpasses a tract for sowing the seed of the good news.”
- Bill Graham

“The smallest tract may be the stone in David’s sling. In the hands of Christ it may bring down a giant’s soul.”
- Robert Murray M’Cheyne

The great missionary to China, Hudson Taylor, was also saved by reading a tract.

Did you know that George Whtefield, a preacher of the Great Awakening, was saved by a gospel tract? After reading it he wrote, “God showed me I must be born again or be damned.”

God even used a gospel tract as the tool to led Greg Koukl, founder of Stand to Reason, to Christ. He has stated that “some brave soul” put it in the bottom of his grocery bag while checking out.

I have wanted to start something new on here and have posted 50 reasons to use tracts. Then I posted 38 ways to use tracts. Now I will post 12 ways NOT to use tracts. This will be one post. I will post a few comments regarding this after.

Section 3
When distributing the Gospel, be sure to do so in a way that brings glory and honor to God. With that in mind, here are some things to avoid.
1. Don’t litter – tracts left outdoors can easily blow around and become a nuisance to those who have to clean them up.

2. Don’t leave tracts on houses or cars – we receive more complaints about this method than any other.

3. Don’t put tracts inside merchandise in stores.

4. Don’t disobey local ordinances or guidelines when sharing tracts.

5. Don’t leave tracts in post offices, mailboxes, or other places where literature is prohibited.

6. Don’t force tracts on people.

7. Don’t be rude when someone turns down your tract.

8. Don’t trespass – breaking the law isn’t Christ-like.

9. Don’t leave a tract at a restaurant without a generous tip (at least 20-25%).

10. Don’t use bad tracts. Make sure they are attractive and contain the true gospel message.

11. Don’t use tracts you haven’t read. Make sure to study the message (and all referenced Scriptures) so you are familiar with what you are distributing.

12. Don’t do it alone – seek God’s guidance and blessing at every turn.

“Giving no offence in anything, that the ministry be not blamed.” II Corinthians 6:3
“Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.” Colossians 4:5

I have wanted to start something new on here and have posted 50 reasons to use tracts. Now I will post 38 ways to use tracts. Again I am doing this in short posts because if I make one 1 long one people will not take the time to read it. So here it is: 38 Ways to use tracts.

Section 2, Part 3.

21. Tracts can be handed out during special community outreach programs and events like fall festivals, Christmas programs, etc.

22. Tracts can be used in a mailing to people in your community – or around the world.

23. Tracts can be left for mail or newspaper carriers.

24. Tracts can be enclosed in bills paid by mail.

25. Tracts can be put in Christmas cards and annual letters for a clear gospel whitness.

27. Tracts can be placed in Thanksgiving and Christmas backets that are given to needy community families.

He came as He did, born of a virgin, to be what He was, sinless.

He was what He was, sinless, to do what He did: die for our sins.

And He died for our sins, that He being what He was, made us what we are not and ought to be, and that is sons of God.

He came to earth, that we might go to heaven.

He was born of a virgin, that we might be born again.

He, friend, was made the Son of Man that you and I might become sons and daughters of God.

Before I got saved I was running TO sin,

MARY HAD A LITTLE LAMB

Mary had a little lamb. His fleece was white as snow. Son of God from heaven above For sinners here below.

Mary’s son, eternal God, He the great I AM, With wool so white on Christmas night, became a little lamb.

Mary had a little lamb. His fleece was white as snow. That spotless Lamb was crucified to pay the debt I owe.

O spotless Lamb with wool so white Thy crimson blood I know can take away my crimson sin and wash me white as snow.
