🎁 Your gift is not your identity!

The ability to lead, create, teach, build, sing, influence, communicate, or succeed can become dangerous when it becomes something you protect more than something you surrender back to God!

God is not looking for impressive gifts nearly as much as He is looking for yielded hearts. Abraham placed Isaac on the altar, not because God hated the gift He'd given but because He refused to let the gift take His place.

The greatest test of stewardship is not what you can achieve with what God gave you. It is whether you can place it back in His hands and trust Him with it, and it's useless apart from Him!

If God asked for the thing you are most proud of, would you trust Him enough to let it go? 💙

Romans 12:1: “Give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable.”

Many of us believe God can't use us because we aren't 'pastoral' enough or have too much of a messy life. But God has a purpose and plan for each of us! And if you've been filling called to plug in, there's a place for you to serve.

📽️ Use your gifts on the Experience Team. From cameras and lighting to lyrics, audio, and media, you can help create a distraction-free environment where people can focus on Jesus. We’ll train you.

👐 Help people feel at home on the Serve Team. Whether it’s greeting at the door, serving coffee, helping in parking, praying with someone, or being an usher, simple moments of kindness can change someone’s entire Sunday.

💙 Invest in the next generation through VKids, Youth, and Young Adults. The next generation needs people who are willing to show up, encourage them, and point them toward Jesus.

Everything feels solid until life starts shaking up. 🌪️

One phone call changes your whole week. A relationship breaks down. Anxiety keeps you up at night. The plans you were counting on suddenly fall apart. That is when you find out what your life has actually been built on.

Jesus shared a story about two men who experienced the same storm. The difference was not the weather. The difference was the foundation they built for themselves. ☔

One man dug deep before the storm ever came. The other built fast and hoped for the best.

What you build your life on matters. Is Jesus your foundation? Are you prepared for what's to come? 🙏

God is such a girl Dad! 👇

The way Jesus treated women was radically different from the culture around Him. He listened to them. He defended them. He trusted them with responsibility. At a time when women were often dismissed or pushed to the side, Jesus consistently moved toward them with dignity, compassion, and care. 💙

He spoke publicly with the Samaritan woman when others would not even acknowledge her (John 4). He protected the woman caught in adultery when everyone else was ready to condemn her (John 8:1-11). After the resurrection, He appeared first to women and entrusted them to carry the news that He was alive (Matt. 28:1-10). 🙏

Even in Genesis, the word used for “helper” in reference to women is the Hebrew word ezer (Gen. 2:18), the same word often used to describe God as a source of strength and rescue throughout Scripture.

None of this was accidental. God has always seen women as valuable, powerful, and deeply loved!

Somewhere along the way, Christianity became something people clock in and out of.

People talk about “taking a break” from serving God like ministry is separate from their relationship with Him. But following Jesus isn't supposed to fit conveniently around comfort, emotions, or preference. It is a life laid down. 🙌

Paul preached, served, suffered, discipled, and kept moving even through exhaustion, persecution, prison, and disappointment because ministry was not a title. Jesus had changed his life completely.

There is a difference between resting and disconnecting. Jesus invited people to rest in Him, not walk away when things became difficult. Faith that only survives when life feels manageable will not last very long. 💙

📖 “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” -Galatians 6:9

Giving can feel difficult when you are already thinking about bills, groceries, gas, and everything else pulling at your finances...

That is what makes generosity an act of faith.

It is easy to trust God when you feel comfortable. It takes something deeper to trust Him when your budget feels tight and your mind starts asking, “Will there still be enough?” 🙏

But God has never asked us to give because He needs something from us. He asks because He wants our trust, and He has always been faithful to take care of His people. 💙

When you give, it is given unto you! Thank you for giving and allowing God to work in this house and the greater community through you.

📖 “And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:19

Are you seeking deeper revelation of God while ignoring basic obedience? 🤔

You cannot neglect prayer all week, leave your Bible closed, disconnect from the house of God, and then wonder why your faith feels weak...

There is nothing complicated about spiritual growth! Most of it comes back to consistency in the things people treat as optional.

Prayer is not extra. Scripture is not extra. Being planted in church is not extra. These are not advanced practices for “super Christians.” This is Christianity 101. 🧠💙

Some people woke up today with memories they cannot escape. 🙏

Certain songs, uniforms, photographs, or folded flags carry the weight of someone they loved who never made it home. Memorial Day is personal for them.

We honor the men and women who gave their lives serving others, and we remember the families who still carry that loss years later.

Scripture teaches us to “weep with those who weep” (Rom. 12:15). So today, we slow down long enough to remember, to pray, and to give thanks for sacrifices most of us will never fully understand. 💙

“There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” -John 15:13
