MUSICIANS & MUSIC HOSTS needed for the Saratoga Springs Temple Open House

Two types of volunteers are needed on the following dates:

- Friday, April 21st
- Thursday, May 25th
- Wednesday, June 28th

1. Musicians to play quiet background music in a church building as guests arrive to tour the Saratoga Springs temple. Sign up here: https://forms.gle/ajVAuxnPUhsPwKXGA

- Music should be soft, hymn-based and reverent
- Piano, organ, strings, harp and flute are all permitted (no vocals please)
- Youth are encouraged to participate
- Skills should be commensurate with the sacred setting
- Shifts will be 20 minutes long

2. Music Hosts to help keep things running smoothly you will have a few responsibilities and will work with three other Music Hosts. Sign up here: https://forms.gle/6cY3nLKdXCn9Tu1x9

- Keep musicians rotating on schedule
- Direct musicians where to leave instrument cases and other belongings while they are playing
- Ensure music is appropriate and be willing to intervene if music doesn't follow guidelines
- Assist in coordinating the pausing of music when missionaries in the chapel get up to start the next tour group
- Shifts will be 3 hours long

Our stake has been asked to provide 50 volunteers to help with Temple Grounds Maintenance on October 4, 2022 at 5:30 PM. There is no age limit to serve on this assignment. With the number of wards in our stake, we need approximately 5 - 7 individuals from each ward to fulfill this assignment.

All volunteers will meet in the northwest corner of the temple parking lot (at the two maintenance buildings) where they will be given instructions. There is no need to bring any tools, but you are encouraged to bring gloves. Service will last for about one hour. You will be removing summer plants and planting new fall/spring plants.

Please sign up to donate blood at the Lehi Holbrook Farms Stake Center on September 28th from 1:00 pm -7:00 pm. The Red Cross is in the middle of a Critical Blood Shortage! The inventory of blood is at a low level! The need for blood is increasing, and the number of donors is decreasing. Blood donated is essential to helping trauma patients, those battling diseases like cancer, and blood loss during surgery, to name a few. You never know when you or someone you know will need this gift, and what a great gift to share.
