This Sunday at First Baptist Church of Lefors we wrap up our series The Church God Builds with Part 5: “Empowered by the Spirit” from Acts 1:8.

Jesus never intended for His people to live the Christian life in their own strength. The same Spirit who empowered the early church still empowers believers today—to stand firm, to share the Gospel boldly, to love people deeply, and to live faithfully in a world that constantly pulls us the other direction.

The church is not built on personalities, programs, or human ability. It is built through ordinary people surrendered to an extraordinary God.

If you’ve ever felt weak, inadequate, discouraged, or unsure how God could use you… this message is for you.

☀️ WEEK 2 OF “LEADING IN THE LULL” IS TOMORROW NIGHT! ☀️

Summer schedules are unpredictable. Bedtimes get later. Vacations happen. Ballgames pile up. And before we know it, spiritual intentionality can quietly drift into “we’ll get to it later.”

But here’s the truth: Unstructured time does NOT have to mean unintentional parenting.

Tomorrow night we’ll continue our summer Bible study for parents:
📖 Leading Without a Schedule
📍 Ephesians 5:15–16, Colossians 4:5–6, Proverbs 22:6

We’ll talk about:
• How to redeem everyday moments spiritually
• Why consistency matters more than complexity
• Simple rhythms that can help shape your home spiritually this summer

You do not need a perfect family schedule to spiritually lead well.
Sometimes the most powerful discipleship happens in the ordinary moments:

🌅 evening walks
⚾ ballgames
🙏 bedtime prayers

📖 Leading in the Lull
A 4-week Bible study for parents and grandparents about spiritually leading our children during the slower rhythms of summer.

Summer gets busy fast:
⚾ ballgames
🏕️ camps
🌭 cookouts
🚗 vacations
📱 distractions

And before we know it, we’ve spent weeks making memories… but very little time making disciples.

Tomorrow night we begin Week 1:
👉 The Call to Lead at Home
📍 Deuteronomy 6:4–9

We’ll talk about:
• Why parents are the primary disciplers of their children
• How spiritual leadership happens in everyday life
• Simple, practical ways to lead your family spiritually this summer

You do NOT have to be a Bible scholar or perfect parent to lead your home well. You simply have to be intentional.
