Sunday, we were reminded of a beautiful truth:

God is the Alpha and the Omega.

He was there at the beginning.
He will be there at the end.
And He is with us in everything in between.

Whatever this week holds, we can trust the One who already sees the whole story.

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” — Revelation 22:13

James asks a question we don't always like to think about:

“What is your life?”

He describes it as a mist—here for a little while and then gone.

That's not meant to make us afraid.

It's meant to remind us that today matters.

So halfway through this week, consider:

What deserves more of my attention?

What am I worrying about that won't matter in eternity?

Where is God asking me to use the time I've been given?

Don't just count your days.

Make your days count for what matters eternally.

WORD OF THE WEEK: ETERNITY

We spend a lot of time thinking about tomorrow.

What we'll do.
Where we'll go.
What we'll accomplish.

But James reminds us that life is brief—and every day we have is a gift from God.

Living with eternity in mind doesn't mean ignoring today.

It means choosing to spend today on what truly matters.

This week, ask yourself:

Am I investing my time, energy, and resources in things that will last?

We fill our calendars.

We worry about tomorrow.

We work for things we think will make life secure.

But James asks us to remember something important:

Our lives belong to God.

How are you doing with this week's invitation to DRAW NEAR?

Life gets busy. Our attention gets pulled in a hundred directions, and sometimes we don't intentionally walk away from God—we simply get distracted.

Today, take a few minutes to stop.

Pray.

Listen.

Turn your attention back toward God.

“Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” — James 4:8

You don't have to make a giant leap.

Just take the next step closer.

WORD OF THE WEEK: HUMILITY

Humility isn't thinking less of yourself.

It's recognizing that we don't have to be in control because God is.

James invites us to lay down our pride, our need to be right, and our desire to have things our own way—and instead surrender ourselves to God.

“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.” — James 4:10

This week, ask yourself:

What do I need to surrender so I can draw nearer to God?

May we choose less of ourselves and more of Him.
