Who wins, comfort or Faith?

In the Army we like to use the expression, "take the hard right over the easy wrong.' The only problem with this is that if ol Sarge wasn't looking, and we thought our way was better (or easier), then we would cut the corner.

We do that in our walk with Jesus as well don't we?

We think Jesus won't really mind this will He?

We think blending with those who are headed the other direction for just a bit won't cause harm...or perhaps at times we even consider giving it all up just to go back to the life we once had.

Paul was BOUGHT in to the mission, to the point of death.

How bought in are you?

I can tell you, if you are not ALL IN then other things will always have a way of distracting your attention away from living a life worthy of the gospel.

Join us this Sunday at 0930 or 1100 as we continue to dive into the Word and allow the Lord Jesus to challenge us more and more in standing firm for the gospel!

I'll save you a seat!

Called to BE A PART of the Body

The people of the Church have a specific role to play in the life of every soul who is called to that body.

None of us are called to be an attendee but rather an active member in the lives of those in the Church.

Are you ready to answer your calling?

Are you already?

The Lord makes no mistakes, all who are of the body of Christ here at East are needed to be what the Lord Jesus has called them here to be.

Unapologetically get involved.

Experience the joy of being a part of something greater, and let's do it together in Christ Jesus!

Join us this Sunday at 0930 or 1100 as we continue to study through the book of Philippians.

I'll save you a seat!

Heavenly Desire

In a world where persecution and problems are literally promised, it is easy to allow ourselves at times to catch ourselves longing to depart and be with Jesus.

In Philippians 1:21-25 we can literally see this thought pattern worked out through Paul as he feels the pressure and sees it being easier to just go be with Christ...BUT it's more necessary to stay for others!

We have the same calling and responsibility today. Lean into one another. Help one another and keep moving towards Jesus!

Come join us this Sunday at 0930 or 1100 as we dig deeper into the book of Philippians.

I'll save you a seat!

What is in your life that DOES NOT BELONG!?!?!?

The Bible calls us in multiple places to life Holy, to be set apart, to shine as a light in the darkness, to represent and live a life worthy of the gospel.

How are we doing in this area?

What is still needing to stay crucified that WE keep resurrecting?

Some of us are on roads that we know we are not called to anymore. Why stay there?

Come join us this Sunday at 0930 or 1100 as we continue to dig into God's Word and challenge one another to live a life as we are called to live it!

I'll save you a seat!

When is the last time we didn't think about ourselves first?!?!

Ephesians 5:21 says to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

If we were constantly in the business of seeking ways to help another, even at the inconvenience to our self...how much more powerful would our testimony of Jesus be in and through us?

Does our action represent a heart and mind set on the Spirit? or the flesh? (Romans 5:8)

Come join us this Sunday at 0930 or 1100 as we continue to walk through the book of Philippians!

I'll save you a seat!
