Good morning, Higher Power,

Thank You for the gift of this day and for the breath in my lungs. I come to You with a grateful heart, thankful for every blessing--both seen and unseen, big and small--that You place in my life each day.

Lord, please continue to work in me. Remove the character defects that block me from Your will, and replace them with humility, patience, and love. Grant me the grace to accept myself as I am, while growing into who You are calling me to be.

Help me to remember that I am never alone, and that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Guide my thoughts, my words, and my actions today so that they reflect Your light.

Thank You for this beautiful journey of life, and for the courage to walk it with faith, trust, and a peaceful heart. Amen.

MONDAY MORNING PRAYER

Father,
Thank you for all that you have done for us, for all that you continue to do for us, and for all that you will do for us. We can never thank you enough. Praise you God from whom all blessings flow. We are always amazed by the abundance of blessings we receive each and every day. Thank you for our food, our family, and our friends. We are grateful and thank you for always being with us. Thank you for our schools and our teachers. Thank you for giving us the ability to play music and sports.

May you bless this day, bless our families and friends, and bless our pets and animals. We pray for a successful end to the school year. We pray that you help to keep us safe, especially through the summer. We pray that you remind us to drive safely. We pray that you help to keep us active and involved. Please help us to avoid sitting around and limit our screen time. Help us to be kind and caring. Help those that are sick to know that with a belief in you, God, that they can be healed. Help us to be better. Thank you Father. Amen.

MONDAY MORNING PRAYER

O Holy and gracious God, receive the prayers we lift before You this day. We hold before You Pastor Gary as he enters this sacred time of Sabbatical, and Pastor Becky as she walks with us in faithful companionship during his time away. Surround them -- and all of us -- with Your tender, sheltering presence.

Enfold Your people in the embrace of Your healing and comforting arms. Draw us close within the vastness of Your grace. Teach us to extend hospitality without hesitation, and to offer compassion and charity to neighbors near and far. For every gift we have received flows first from Your hand; may we steward these gifts faithfully, ministering to one another as bearers of Your manifold grace.

Grant to the leaders of every nation a holy longing for peace, and the wisdom and courage to pursue it for the sake of all Your children.

As we lift our voices in praise and exalt Your holy name, hear the prayers of Your people. We ask all this in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

MONDAY MORNING PRAYER...

Dear Gracious and Giving God,

A new week begins after honoring mothers and mother figures yesterday. Your mother was an example of nurturing, perseverance and love even when unmet expectations, betrayals and loss challenged that support.

We reflect on and are grateful for all those who provided maternal insight and guidance; all the Jessicas, Marges, Evelyns, Lisbeths, Violets and so many more.

This week we pray that you instill all global and local leaders with a desire for neighborly peace, well-being and Love. Eradicate hunger, poverty, disease, and discomfort and replace these with health, joy, comfort, grace, and purpose.

We pray for Pastor Gary on his three-month journey for rejuvenation and personal insight. We pray also, and are grateful for, Pastor Becky and her clear gifts to lead our church family during this time.

May we, as Followers in Faith, and with your guidance, make ourselves available to her and to meet the needs of our church, community, Covenant Association, and state conference.

All this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
