You do not have to manufacture peace out of your own strength today — you have to move into the shade that is already cast.

Abide. Stay. Live there.
Not a quick visit when life gets loud — a dwelling.

What noise have you been trying to outrun that you could simply out-rest, in His shadow?

Move into the shade.

Before God ever gave a command, He gave a day of rest.

Rest is not the reward at the end of creation.
It is built into the blueprint — day seven, before a single law was spoken.

"And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it."

Blessed. Sanctified. Set apart.
God did not rest because He was tired — He rested because rest is holy.

What would it mean for you to treat rest as worship instead of weakness?

Love one another — as I have loved you.

That is the whole assignment.
Not love people when they are easy.
Not love people who love you first.
As I have loved you — first, fully, and at cost.

"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another."

He did not hand this command down from a distance.
He demonstrated it up close — hands on shoulders, sinners at His table, children in His arms.

Who is the one person He is putting on your heart to love up close this week?

Start there.
