Welcome to 10 a.m. worship

We woke up today at 5am to head to the trailhead for lookout mountain. We hiked in the dark to see the sunrise, laughing and talking as we walked. We worshiped morning and evening, spent time with our amazing small groups, had dinner with friends new and old, and shared holy tears by candlelight in the sanctuary.

God is so good, and we are leaving ready to plant, prune, grow, and nurture peace in us and around us! 🕊️

Today we learned about the process of life/death/resurrection that happens throughout the created world and in our communities. We had time with our small groups and grew in connections!

In the afternoon, we ate ice cream in downtown Black Mountain, thrift shopped, and sang in the car on the way back to evening worship.

Peace is active and on the move in the world, and we are learning to be bearers of peace! 🕊️

Today ended with bubbles and face paint after worship, followed by games in the lobby before our “back home group” time ✌️

This morning we learned about Shalom— the kind of peace that includes Justice, and requires the wholeness of our neighbors as well as our own. ✌️ 🕊️

Renovation of LPC's upper floor (education wing) is underway as we get ready to host new and meaningful small groups like GriefShare and DivorceCare (starting this fall!).

Help us name the upper floor rooms as the "education wing" becomes "The Grove!"
