One year ago today, Unity Christian Church began a journey we could only imagine… and what God has done since then has been more than we could have asked for. ❤️

These pictures and moments tell a story — but even they can’t capture it all.

Lives have been changed.
People have been baptized.
Families have found a church home.
Marriages have been strengthened and restored.
Friendships have become family.
People have found hope, healing, purpose, and a fresh start in Jesus.

We’ve worshiped together, served together, laughed together, cried together, prayed together, and watched God move again and again.

And through every moment, one thing has remained true:

God gets ALL the glory. 🙌

“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!”

Today we celebrate ONE YEAR, but we believe this is only the beginning.

Here’s to every life God has touched, every person who has walked through our doors, every volunteer who has served, every prayer that has been prayed, and every story that is still being written.

What a special Sunday at Unity! Today, Pastor David had the incredible honor of baptizing his own granddaughter — a moment we know will never be forgotten. ❤️ And then God had even more in store… we celebrated a second, completely impromptu baptism!

And how fitting that it all happened on the very Sunday we began our new series, A Fresh Start.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV

Tomorrow, September 7th, marks ONE YEAR of Unity Christian Church. 🎉

One year of lives being changed.
One year of people finding family.
One year of prayers being answered.
One year of watching God do things we never could have orchestrated ourselves.

And today felt like the most beautiful reminder that we’re only getting started.

We are so thankful for what God has done, but even more excited for what He is going to do next.

God never intended for us to walk through life alone. He gives us people to encourage us, pray with us, love us, and remind us of His goodness along the way.

A simple invitation, a welcoming smile, an arm around someone’s shoulder—these little acts of love can mean more than we realize.

Who can you encourage this week? Who might need to hear, “Come sit with me”?

— Ephesians 6:11 ESV

There’s something so special about watching our children not only learn about Jesus, but learn that God has given them everything they need to stand strong in Him. ❤️

The belt of truth.
The breastplate of righteousness.
The shoes of the gospel of peace.
The shield of faith.
The helmet of salvation.
And the sword of the Spirit—the Word of God. ⚔️

We aren’t just teaching Bible stories—we’re helping raise up a generation that knows who they are, Whose they are, and how to stand firm in their faith.

We are so thankful for our Unity Children’s Ministry and everyone who pours the truth of God’s Word into these little hearts. 🥹🛡️❤️

There’s something powerful about a room full of people lifting their hands, their hearts, and their voices to the Lord. 🙌❤️

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!” — Psalm 150:6 ESV

Praise isn’t just something we do when life is going well. Open arms represent complete surrender. Bringing your worries, fears, struggles, and your whole life before God, holding nothing back.

As long as there is breath in our lungs, we have a reason to praise Him! 🙏

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”
— Hebrews 11:1 ESV

There’s something beautiful about the faith of a child. ❤️ They don’t always need to know how everything will work out—they simply trust the one who is leading them.

What if we trusted God that way?

Faith doesn’t mean we can see the whole road ahead. It means we know WHO is leading us. We can trust His promises, believe in His goodness, and keep walking even when we can’t see what comes next.

May we have the kind of faith that simply says, “God, I may not see it yet, but I trust You.” 🙏

Yesterday we celebrated one year of Unity, but what we celebrated was so much bigger than a date on the calendar.

We celebrated the relationships God has built, the people He has brought together, and a church family learning what it means to love one another and follow Jesus together.

May we always be a church where people know they don’t have to walk alone.

Today we celebrated ONE YEAR of Unity Christian Church, and instead of having one person capture the day, we handed the camera over to YOU!

Every photo in this video was taken by someone at today’s celebration using our shared disposable camera app. Different people. Different perspectives. Different moments. But when we put them all together, they tell one beautiful story:

This is Unity. This is family. This is what God has done. 🙌

The laughter. The hugs. The worship. The food. The kids. The friendships. The moments we didn’t even realize someone was capturing. ❤️

And somehow, seeing Unity through the eyes of everyone who celebrated with us makes this first birthday even sweeter.
