Headway A community of faith, hope and love seeking to know and follow Jesus together in everyday life. We were lost and he left home to find us. In fact, it’s hard.

Headway is a group of people seeking to know and follow Jesus together. Over 2,000 years ago, Jesus emptied himself and moved forward in our direction. We were broken and he went on mission to restore us. He moved into the neighborhood and brought his kingdom with him. Jesus is still making headway today.... and inviting us to follow. To engage our culture and the lives of others. To go to the bro

ken places of our community and the world. Taking up the cause of the orphan and stranger. Drawn to the to the struggling and marginalized. Coming alongside the excluded and discarded. Fighting on behalf of the mistreated and bringing real hope to those who have none. It’s following Jesus out of our comfort zone. Connecting with those in our neighborhoods and workplace. Seeing people as Jesus sees them. Taking time to get to know each other. Listening to each other’s story, and willing to tell our own. Laughing and enjoying life together. Being transparent and feeling one another’s pain. Sharing of ourselves and what we have. Finding the lost and showing the way. Working together to restore what is broken in our world. Following Jesus isn’t easy. It’s uncomfortable, inconvenient, and can even be dangerous at times. And it requires surrender and sacrifice, which is probably why so many decide to stay put. But we believe it’s so worth it. As we go on mission with Jesus, we get to know him better. And as we get to know him better we start experiencing the freedom, purpose, and peace that we were meant to have. So let’s get a move on. Let’s get our groove on. Let’s not let the American dream distract us from being a part of what God is doing to change the world. Let’s get involved in the messiness of life. Let’s be his hands and feet and demonstrate his love so others can know him too. Let’s move forward together.

We are excited for the Flower & Garden Festival this Weekend! As we have each of the past 12 years, we will be hosting our children's craft tent where kids come and make their very own "pet rock!" It's always so much fun:) And along with that we will also have a special Ice Cream Sundae Bar and Flower & Garden Games at the Leesburg Junction just a few steps from the children's area from 1pm - 3pm both Saturday and Sunday. We hope to see you this weekend!

An amazing time at the Tangled Movie Experience Saturday night! Our next event is our children’s craft tent at the Flower and Garden Festival, April 18 & 19 where kids can make their very own “pet rock.” And we’ll be having a special ice-cream sundae bar and F&G games on that Saturday and Sunday 1-3pm at the Junction too!

Hey Headway, We already have 30 people registered for the Tangled Movie Event tomorrow night! We're excited to connect with families and children in our community. It's going to be a good time and it's not too late to invite a family with kids to join us for this unique FREE event! Doors open at 6pm with themed snacks, games and photo booth. Movie starts at 6:45pm with popcorn and lemonade. And don't forget to remind them that they can dress up like Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, or their favorite Disney Princess or character. This is a great opportunity for us to meet and connect with folks in our community and also let them know about this amazing Headway family they can belong to:). Don't forget to move your clocks forward 1 hour this Saturday night. We're excited for the extra daylight and but not for the loss of an hour of sleep:(. Theresa Barthel is coordinating and hosting a wonderful opportunity to create, assemble and distribute CARE BAGS to those in need in our community. Everyone in our community is welcome to participate!

Here are the ways you can participate...

1) Purchase Items: Sign-up to purchase items. Purchase the items online and have them sent or dropped off at the listed location.

2) Assemble Care Bags: Sign-up to help assemble bags on March 15 at 12:30pm at the Leesburg Junction in downtown Leesburg. Pizza will be served!

3) Distribute Care Bags: Take some Care Bags to distribute. Keep some in your car to give to those you see in need.
