We’re still thinking about the stories and meaningful moments shared during Conversations on a Bench.

Taking time to truly listen can change how we see homelessness and, more importantly, how we see our neighbors. We’re grateful for the opportunity to have been part of these conversations and for everyone who listened alongside us.

Today is World Homeless Day, but for our neighbors experiencing homelessness, the need for care and compassion extends far beyond one day.

Homelessness can be connected to hunger, unemployment, poverty, addiction, and other circumstances that make finding stability difficult. No matter what someone is facing, we believe every person deserves dignity, compassion, and the reminder that they are seen, valued, and loved by God.

At Christian Care Center, meeting practical needs and sharing the hope of Christ go hand in hand. This October 10, turn awareness into action by learning about our ministries, finding a way to serve, or sharing our resources with someone who may need them. On October 8 and 9, we’ll be participating in Conversations on a Bench, a nationwide live-streaming event that creates space for meaningful conversations about homelessness. It’s a chance to listen, learn, and better understand the experiences of people whose stories may be different from our own.

Honest conversations can change how a community sees its neighbors.

That's the heart behind Conversations on a Bench, a 24-hour livestream happening October 8 and 9 across North America. Ministry leaders will sit down with neighbors, pastors, and local voices to talk openly about homelessness, addiction, and mental health.

Our own Tony Hoffman will be on a bench at our Leesburg campus for the entire event, and we'd love for you to be part of it.

We're pulling up a bench, and we hope you'll pull up a seat!

On October 8 and 9, Christian Care Center is participating in Conversations on a Bench 2026, a 24-hour livestream bringing ministries across North America together for honest conversations about homelessness, addiction, and mental health.

Our Executive Director, Tony Hoffman, will spend the full 24 hours outside on a bench right here on our Leesburg campus, listening to stories of hope, healing, and transformation.
