You may run out of a lot of things in life, but you will never run out of God’s Love!

Oswald Chambers has said, “Grace is for ‘right now.’ It is not the process toward some future goal, but an end in and of itself. If we would only realize this, then each moment would become rich with meaning and purpose.”

“Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭16‬ ‭LSB‬‬

There are two answers to every question- God’s answer and everyone else’s. And when those two disagree , everyone else is wrong.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭119‬:‭105‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Handley Moule, when he was Bishop of Durham, had the task of visiting the relatives of 170 miners who had been killed in a mining accident. While he was wondering what to say to them, he picked up a little bookmark his mother had given him. As he held it up, on the reverse side of the handwoven bookmark there was a tangled web. There was no rhyme, no reason, no pattern, nothing. But on the other side it said, ‘God is love’. The world sometimes seems to us like a tangled web. Often we cannot work out what is going on or why we are suffering in the way we are. But the claim of Jesus and the Scriptures is that behind it all is the love of God. Even though things may seem very difficult for us to understand now, God is working out his loving purposes in the world. God can weave a pattern from the threads of our lives – including the suffering, heartaches and even our mistakes and make something beautiful. The apostle Paul tells us that ‘in *all things* God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose’ (Romans 8:28).

Reflect today on the fact that, even though your situation may be challenging, God is weaving his purpose for your life. Job said, ‘You gave me life and showed me kindness, and in your *providence* watched over my spirit’ (Job 10:12). Nicky Gumbel

“In every place where I cause My Name to be recorded and remembered [through revelation of My divine nature] I will come to you and bless you. If you make an altar of stone for Me, you shall not build it of cut stones, for if you use a chisel on it, you will profane it.” Exodus‬ ‭20‬:‭24‬-‭25‬ ‭AMP‬‬
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”
Ezekiel 36:26
Our heart is the true altar where God desires to meet us. Our problem though is the World is constantly working at shaping our hearts as well. When we compromise to “ fit in” , our hearts are being fashioned by tools that make us unfit for Holy use. We begin to wonder why the fire of God has not fallen on our sacrifices. We want to get close to God but
Are we seeing how much time we spend with wrong friends, the internet, cell phones, TV , etc…We are called not to be conformed to this world but to be set apart for His glory.
In addiction, we let the tools of hurts, hang-ups and habits shape our hearts. God never wanted that so He sent His Son and His Spirit to reshape our hearts. Will you pray with me..

Lord thank You for sending Your Son and Spirit to redeem and reshape my heart. Forgive me where I have let the world and my our selfish desires shape my heart. Remove the things that would make my heart unfit for You in Jesus name. Amen

“In the evening his disciples went down to the sea, got in the boat, and headed back across the water to Capernaum. It had grown quite dark and Jesus had not yet returned. A huge wind blew up, churning the sea. They were maybe three or four miles out when they saw Jesus walking on the sea, quite near the boat. They were scared senseless, but he reassured them, “It’s me. It’s all right. Don’t be afraid.” So they took him on board. In no time they reached land—the exact spot they were headed to.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6‬:‭16‬-‭21‬ ‭MSG‬‬
Miraculously, Jesus walks on the water towards them. They were ‘scared senseless’ (v.19, MSG). Jesus says to them, ‘It’s me. It’s all right. Don’t be afraid’ (v.20, MSG). Following Jesus is not always easy. There are storms and other challenges of life, but Jesus’ presence with us is transformational.

Whatever you face today, look to Jesus and be transformed.

When Jesus rose from the dead, He didn’t come back flawless. He kept His scars.
Think about that.
The Son of God—victorious over death—chose to keep the marks of His suffering. The nail prints in His hands. The wound in His side. They were no longer signs of defeat. They were signs of love, of survival, of a story that didn’t end in pain but in redemption.

If you’re in recovery, you know what it means to carry scars—physical, emotional, spiritual. You may wish they could all disappear. But Jesus shows us that scars can become testimonies. They remind us—and others—that we’ve been through the fire, and by God’s grace, we came out the other side.

Your scars don’t disqualify you. They qualify you to speak of healing, hope, and grace. Just like His.

He kept His scars to show that He understands ours. He kept His scars to prove that pain doesn’t have the final word. And He kept His scars so we could look at our own and say:

“This is where I was hurt… but this is also where God met me.”

I picked up my Mamaw Hawkins’ Bible today. (She was one of those praying grandmothers that always asked you if you were going to church. ) Needless to say, her prayers were felt in my life, whether known or unknown by me. In her Bible you’ll find all kinds of clippings that were meaningful to her. Here’s a good one…

God’s Tender Care
When trouble comes,
as it does to us all
God is so great
and we are so small—
But there is nothing
That we need to know
If we have faith
that wherever we go
God will be waiting
to help us bear
Our pain and sorrow
our suffering and care—
For no pain and suffering
is ever too much
To yield itself
to God’s merciful touch!
Unknown

I was fortunate to have a praying grandma, but you don’t have to have one to know God’s tender mercy. Why?

“but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬ ‭ESV‬‬

This Easter is a great time to discover His love for you.
