Bilingual Service at the outdoor Chapel in the Woods today at 5pm.
What a beautiful day it is to worship God in nature! Today, Saturday Aug. 24 at 5pm. The Chapel is located at the corner of Battlefield Parkway and Fort Evans Road, Leesburg. Parking is available at the Fort Evans Plaza II shopping center where Marshalls is located. After parking, cross Battlefield, turn right, and walk towards Route 7 and Fort Evans Road. You will see our banner at the entrance, directly across from the two blue water towers. There is limited parking at the Chapel. Tomorrow we will have our regular Sunday Masses.
Misa bilingüe hoy a las 5pm en la Capilla al Aire Libre Tenemos hoy un hermoso día para adorar a Dios en la naturaleza, en la Capilla al Aire Libre de San Gabriel a las 5pm. La Capilla se encuentra en la esquina de la Battlefield Parkway y Fort Evans Road, Leesburg. El estacionamiento se encuentra en el centro comercial Fort Evans Plaza II) donde se encuentra Marshalls. Después de estacionar, cruce la Battlefield, doble a la derecha y camina hacia la ruta 7 y Fort Evans Road. Verá la bandera de San Gabriel a la entrada que queda directamente frente a las dos torres de agua color azul. Hay estacionamiento limitado en la Capilla. Mañana tendremos las Misas dominicales regulares.

For Spanish see below: Today St Gabriel's - San Gabriel Episcopal Church will bless the students and staff who return to school. We will also bless the 100 backpacks and school supplies that were donated for children in the community and distribute those after the 3pm service at St. James 14 Cornwall St. NW Leesburg, VA. Bring your backpacks to church and stay for an ice cream cone afterwards!

Hoy en San Gabriel bendeciremos a los estudiantes y al personal que regresan a la escuela. También bendeciremos las 100 mochilas y los útiles escolares que fueron donados para los niños de la comunidad y los distribuiremos después de la Misa las 3 p.m. en St. James, 14 Cornwall St. NW, Leesburg, VA. ¡Traiga su mochila a la Misa y quédese después para el convivio, habrá helado para todos!

A prayer for the child headed to college, by the Rev. Laura Minnich Lockey, Canterbury Episcopal Campus Ministry Chaplain, Episcopal Diocese of Virginia, James Madison University. Thank you Rev. Laura!

As they set off on new adventures:

Holy God, Holy and Mighty, Holy Immortal One, hear our prayers for our children who we are sending off to great adventure filled with unknown, and filled with promise. We stand on this precipice filled with love, pride and more than a little trepidation. We pray for their safety as they continue to learn your dreams for them. Guard them from all harm; lead them on the paths of righteousness; give them strength to resist temptation. Guide them in the search for deep truth and meaning. May they remember that they are loved beyond imagining by You, by their families, and by their church community. May they trust that Love to lift them up and sustain them when they struggle, and may they trust that Love to rejoice with them at each accomplishment. We send them out into the world trusting them into Your care. When they return to us, may we cherish the change, may we cheer them on, and may we trust that they are becoming the people You want them to be. In your Holy Name we pray. Amen.

St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church has been working hard this summer to minister to the community through its nine-week STEAM summer camp.

St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church Back to School Backpacks & Supplies for children in the community.

Our Educando Con Amor ~ Teaching With Love summer camps have been abounding with love and energy. We have served over 200 children this summer, students who would not have otherwise had an opportunity to experience summer camp. They have been coding, learning robotics, dancing, singing, practicing different art forms, learning mindfulness and postive growth mindsets, public speaking, leadership skills, and cooking nutritous meals for one another and their families!

We are reaching out for your help! We have 200 students in need of backpacks and school supplies. The kids are ready to grow and learn, let's set them up for success by providing the tools they need!
