Leeds First Methodist Church Backpack Buddies

Leeds First Methodist Church Backpack Buddies BACKPACK BUDDIES is a national program designed to fight childhood hunger. Additionally, special treat bags are given on different holidays throughout the year.

We discreetly provide 90 children at Leeds Primary and Leeds Elementary Schools with food every week. Each child is given nutritious and easy-to-prepare food they can take home for the weekend when other resources aren't always available.
- Pop-Top Meals (ChefBoyardee,Campbell's soup, Vienna sausage)
- 100% Juice Boxes
- Granola Bars, Applesauce & Fruit Cups
- Oatmeal & Grits Packets, cereal b

- Cheese filled, saltine & Ritz Crackers
- Mini Veggie Cups (Libby's)
- Mac-N-Cheese Cups or Packets
- Instant Potato Cups/ Cup of Noodles
- Pudding Cups
- small Slim Jims
- Ramen Noodle Packs and/or cups
- assorted snacks; chips, cookies, popcorn, rice krispy treats, fruit chews
We also provide hygiene bags 3 times a year. These bags include all full-size items: bar of soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant.
