Leechburg First United Methodist Church seeking a talented and dedicated Organist/Choir Director to lead and enhance our music ministry. This individual will provide organ and piano accompaniment for worship services, direct the church choir, and help foster a meaningful and inspiring worship experience through music.

Responsibilities:
• Play organ and/or piano for weekly worship services and special services throughout the church year.
• Direct rehearsals and lead the church choir during worship.
• Select appropriate music in collaboration with the pastor or worship leadership.
• Recruit, encourage, and support choir members and instrumentalists.
• Coordinate music for holidays, weddings, funerals, and other special services as needed in cooperation with the pastor.
Qualifications:
• Proficiency in organ and piano accompaniment.
• Experience directing choirs.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clergy, staff, volunteers, and congregation members.
• Knowledge of traditional sacred music and worship liturgy preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
Schedule:
• Weekly Sunday worship service.
• Regular choir rehearsals.
• Additional services and special events throughout the year.

What a great day for our church picnic even though we had to move it indoors. Great food, great fellowship, great fun!

Because of the anticipated severe weather tomorrow morning, our church service and picnic will now be held in the church fellowship hall. The service will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by the picnic. Everyone is welcome.
