Two More Days

Lazarus died in Bethany
Confusing are God's ways
See when Jesus had heard the news
He waited two more days

It seemed that Jesus had ignored
His friend in Bethany
He waited until the fourth day
To visit Lazarus you see

He eventually took the trip
He finally did leave
But He stayed a little longer
That people would believe

In our lives Jesus will delay
Don't think He doesn't care
He hasn't forgotten our cry
He still hears desperate prayer

And when there seems to be no hope
In trials all alone
In the place of "impossible"
He will roll back your stone

The First Phase of Obeying God

When Moses obeyed God at first
Circumstances changed from bad to worse
When he obeyed, Israel only saw
They had to search for their own straw

Questioning God was in the mix
God did not provide any magic bricks
Moses had the word, he had the vision
But at first no one would listen

Pharoah saw signs but mocked his word
Israel thought Moses was absurd
When you step out and obey the Lord
Sometimes at first you will be ignored

You cannot stop but keep on walking
Though a Pharoah keeps on mocking
Though your followers are just a few
God watches what you choose to do

Will we let opinions hinder us?
Will we go back to the wilderness?
Miracles happen if we don't quit
If we will believe, if we submit

At first obeying God may get tougher
And the word may cause you to suffer
But hold on by faith and press on through
Then you will see what God will do

The Cry of False Peace

Jeremiah 6:14- They have also healed the hurt of my people slightly, saying, "peace, peace when there is no peace."

Peace peace when there is no peace
Preaching the truth has decreased
The fear of God must increase

Peace peace in a time of war
The harder truths some ignore
Declawed lions that do not roar

Peace peace in their deception
Led only by man's direction
Losing the Spirit's connection

Peace peace before the eruption
Self help, the only instruction
While we speed towards destruction

Peace peace in much confusion
Trading truth for delusion
Sermons of an illusion

Peace peace or so it appears
Conviction soon disappears
A wayward vessel no one steers

Piece piece there's a missing piece
We need warnings that will not cease
The whole message needs released

Peace peace is what is spoken of
Nothing of justice, only of love
See the vultures and not the dove

Peace peace a gospel of ease
Dead branches upon their trees
The wrong message in stormy seas

Peace peace spoken in the church
Playing games from their perch
For a true word we must search
