Come visit JoLeah Odom and Pastor Scott at our Ignite Hope booth! We're hanging out today from 4 -7pm at the Sources of Strength event at Pioneer Elementary.

Come plant a mustard seed, blow bubbles, and play in Kinetic Sand - and that's just our booth! There are dozens of organizations here representing some of our community's best resources!

I love peony; they are my absolute favorite flower without a doubt. I love the variety of color, scent, petals. I love that they are long lived and predictable, strong and beautiful. I have been growing peony for 3 years now and this is the first year I’ve seen big beautiful blooms. I am reminded that often, I don’t see the results of hard work immediately and that I have to be willing to wait, sometimes years, for the “beautiful blooms” to appear. I am also reminded this season that it is ABSOLUTELY worth the wait. Look how big and beautiful this flower is! I love it so much!

I am so tired…I imagine you are too. We all
Do so much between work and school and friends and kids…you get the picture. Earlier this week I was so tired that in my groggy desire to consolidate two containers of what I thought were alternative milk, I accidentally added organic beef broth to my oat milk container. I finally told my husband Wednesday and he said, “No wonder I’ve been craving Arby’s!” “Sometimes that happens” I said, through my tears of laughter.

At Ignite Hope we LOVE children (because aren’t we all just large sized children lol) and believe in a holistic, integrated and trauma informed worship experience for all ages. This is one of our children (yes, I have his parents’ permission to post his image). His mom sent me these photos and I can’t help but notice how he is challenging himself; using the magnets to “fish” and balancing that tiny dog figure on the round part of the book rack.

It has me thinking of how God has created us to grow. To grow as individuals, in our relationships with others and ultimately, into a closer relationship with Him. I know for me it’s easy to think I’ve “arrived” but truly God asks me every day to be willing to challenge myself, or accept the challenge He has issued, to grow.

My question is; how is God challenging you to grow today? And, Will you accept His challenge?

Even when twisted and stretched in strange new ways, we can still find comfort and peace and rest in knowing we are safe in God’s presence (yes, this dog was asleep).
