We talk a lot about the Holy Spirit in Acts
but the Spirit didnโt ๐ด๐ต๐ข๐ณ๐ต at Pentecost.
Heโs been moving since the ๐ท๐ฆ๐ณ๐บ ๐ฃ๐ฆ๐จ๐ช๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ.
In Genesis, the Spirit was
In Exodus, He filled craftsmen with ๐๐ธ๐ถ๐น๐น ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ถ๐๐ฑ๐ผ๐บ ๐๐ผ build the tabernacle.
In Judges, He came upon leaders with
In the prophets, He spoke the ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฑ, revealing what was to come.
In David, He stirred worship,
The Holy Spirit wasnโt absent in the Old Testament โ
He was ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ, ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฝ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ณ๐๐น, pointing to the day He would be poured out on ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ ๐ง๐ญ๐ฆ๐ด๐ฉ.
Pentecost wasnโt the beginning of the Spiritโฆ
it was the ๐๐ป๐น๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ด.
The same Spirit who moved in creation, empowered leaders, and spoke through prophets -- is the same Spirit who lives in us today.
