Number 27!!
One of the greatest things about Whole Truth Ministries and our men's drop-in center, The Well, is that our ministry doesn't stop at 1804 East Third Street. We carry it with us wherever we go!
Last night, we had the privilege of attending cobblestone CR in Lebanon, Ohio. While we were there, a lady who was familiar with the work we do at The Well approached us and asked if we could help get her nephew into treatment.
Without hesitation, we went into action!
We got on the phone, made the connections, completed the assessment, and in less than 30 minutes, an Uber was on its way to pick him up and take him to treatment!
You see, Whole Truth Ministries isn't about the shirt you wear, the church you attend, or the circle of people you surround yourself with. It's about loving people right where they are, meeting them in their moments of need, and providing the resources, encouragement, and love of Jesus to help them get where they need to be.
Ministry isn't something you clock in and out of. It's a lifestyle!
It's about reflecting the heart of Jesus wherever you go, whether that's inside the walls of a ministry, at a Celebrate Recovery meeting, in a grocery store, or on the side of the road. Day or night, the mission remains the same: LOVE PEOPLE AND POINT THEM TO JESUS!
What an incredible honor and privilege it was to watch that young man leave Cobblestone Celebrate Recovery last night, headed toward treatment and the next chapter of his life. That's what it's all about! One life, one opportunity, one decision at a time.
And here's something I want everyone to understand:
You don't have to walk through the doors at 1804 East Third Street to get help!
All you have to do is reach out to someone at Whole Truth Ministries or one of our amazing ministry partners. We will do everything we can to help connect you with the resources you need, walk alongside you, and lead, guide, and direct you toward your next step.
Because at the end of the day, Whole Truth Ministries isn't just a place we serve. It's a calling we live!
The doors of The Well may close at the end of the day, but the ministry never stops!
