We hold monthly support group meetings, which consist of devotions, testimonies, eductional programs, fellowship times, and mission/service projects.

Over the past 10 years, PHOEBE connections has awarded over $500,000 in scholarships to children of widows in Wilson County. We raise the money from within the community through an annual cake auction FUNdraiser that always proves entertaining! Every year we explain to the students that this scholarship does not come from PHOEBE Connections alone but also from businesses and individuals within the community who have chosen to invest in their future. It is our way of saying, “We love you. We believe in you, and there is hope for your future in Jesus Christ!”

This year “PHOEBE and the Doo Wops” will be September 24 at 6 pm at The Mill in Lebanon. Tables of 8 are $200 and sponsorships start at $250. Would you help us continue our mission? We also gladly accept cakes and personal donations. Https://phoebeconnections.com

You don’t want to miss “PHOEBE and the Doo Wops” this year! Enjoy the timeless music of the Doo Wops during dinner, followed by a live cake auction and a silent cake auction. All proceeds go toward scholarships for children of widows in Wilson County and the minimal cost to operate the ministry.

PHOEBES enjoyed learning how to make beautiful flower arrangements by S. S. Graham Floral Interiors this morning! Many thanks to Victory Baptist Church in Mt. Juliet for hosting us.

Last night PHOEBE Connections had the honor of recognizing the most amazing group of young people in Wilson County with $2,000 scholarships at our annual scholarship banquet! Nineteen children of widows received scholarships, and for the first time, three students received Carol Ballard Pharris Scholarships for demonstrating excellence in servant leadership. We cannot think of a better way to invest in the next generation!

Many thanks to First Baptist Church, Lebanon, their deacons and wives for hosting us and serving our meal! You were a shining example of servant leadership, and we could not do this without your support!

We also had the most wonderfully inspiring guest speaker who challenged us to consider what we think of God, what we think of ourselves, and what we think of others. Thank you, Brother Patrick Johnson for your thoughtful message! Brother Johnson is director of the Lebanon Housing Authority and pastor of Peyton Road Church of Christ.
